After visiting on Nov 27, we wrote Busch Gardens about the platinum parking/employee entrance issue, and I just received a response:

Dear Valued Guest:

Thank you for your interest in Busch Gardens Williamsburg. This year we have Premier Parking at an additional cost to Park in a specific area of the England parking lot, and those guests will come through the Employee’s entrance with their ticket. I would recommend you come through Toll Plaza.

Sincerely,

Linda

I believe that while the issue seems to have been cleared up on the ground, customer service may not be aware of the final policy.

Platinum should be able to use the employee entrance. If anyone has problems, please let us know!

Just got this email:

Exclusive Surprise Only For Members

So we have to go out the gate, up the hill, stand in line with people trying to get their admission ticket, come back down the hill and stand in the guest service line, get our stuff, go back through baggage check, and back into the entrance gate lines to get back inside the park? For just a cap and drink? This is their idea of a "thank you"? They could have just let me into parking without a hassle that last visit.

I can't find a concrete answer to this anywhere. Can you use the Premium Photokey for the whole family? Or do I have to buy one for each family member?

I will pay $50 not to stand in line for Santa. I have two kids, so I'm wondering if I have to buy each of them one separate, or is just ONE okay?

Edit: I wrote guest services, and they answered in 15 minutes. It is good for the whole family. In that case, I guess it works like a QuickQue for Santa and Rudolph for all of us, which is amazing. Plus 50% off Santa pictures is awesome.

Anyone know what happened in the park tonight? As we were leaving, there was an absolute river of water running down England with at least 20 employees directing traffic and trying to divert the water into storm drains with squeegees.

Oh my gosh. What an exaggeration. "I have to WALK out of my way for a FREE item". They didn't have to do this, and you didn't have to take advantage. We always complain they don't give us enough free stuff or benefits, and then when we do get something people complain even more. If we don't show that we use them or show up, there is no incentive for them to continue to do them.

I went last night and you did not have to wait in the normal line, they opened up the back of Guest Relations just for the giveaways and I walked right up, got my free items and was on my way. The hat came in handy, as it got cold, and a free hot chocolate (while not a pricy gift) was appreciated.

WAVY news just announced that the park will be open tomorrow but because of the cold, Grover's, Verbolten and Tempesto will not be open.

Was walking through the park earlier this week and remembered all the street entertainment they had the first few years and how just about all of it has disappeared. Really enjoyed all of it. Shame it went away.

So we are supposed to go tomorrow (Sunday) and thankfully it will be warmer, but it's also supposed to rain basically all day. They wouldn't close for just rain right? We spent quite a bit of money on things since we have a child now and I'm assuming if they did close for some reason, we'd be refunded?
