Premier parking?

Got an email flyer about premier parking for Christmas Town. For $30 or $40 (depending on the day), you can use the employee entrance and park in England. Basically, the platinum preferred parking benefit.

So:
1. Can platinum pass holders still use the employee entrance and park in England, or is it solely for those who purchase the premiere parking?

2. Pass holders can get a discounted premiere parking pass for the standard 10% off. Given that pass holders get parking for Christmas Town included in their pass, I think it should be an upgrade fee, and not 10% off the general public fee.

I'm going to ask today. I'll let y'all know, if I get an answer.

Thanks.

I'd you get the chance, could you please also ask:

As the premiere parking is dated, would you be allowed in even if the park is otherwise closed to capacity, like the dated admission ticket?

That is the price per day? WOW. That is a lot of money even with 10% off.

Here is what I got from a park representative:

1. Will Platinum Pass Members still be able to park in the England Lot for free? All active pass memberships offer free parking and in-park discounts.

There is no parking lot guarantee for any pass member. Platinum Members are generally permitted to enter through the employee/bus entrance, however this does not guarantee parking in the England lot. Guests will be directed to spaces in the first available lot. Arriving through the employee/bus entrance is not a standard benefit for Platinum Members.

2. If not will Annual and Platinum Pass Members be required to pay the full $30-$40 to park there? Since $15 parking is free for Pass Members, will we only pay the difference on cost ($15-$25)?

If an active Pass Member purchases any form of Christmas Town admission they can use their pass for free parking and in-park discounts. By only showing your pass, this does not guarantee a parking space.

3. As Premiere Parking is dated, would you be allowed in even if the park is otherwise closed to capacity, like the dated admission ticket? Alternatively, would you be able to use it on another day, if you are turned around at the gate?

The dated Premier Parking voucher guarantees you entrance in to the park if we have reached capacity. Guests can find more information on christmastown.com/va.

Thanks Nicole.

The answer to #3 makes complete sense.

Answer #1 seems to be good for platinum pass members.

I don't get #2, though. Seems they didn't really answer the question, and I'm not even sure what this means: "By only showing your pass, this does not guarantee a parking space."

In sum, from what I gather:

Platinum pass holders may be able to park in England, if there is available spots there. Regardless, they should be able to use the employee entrance, even if they have to drive past England to a different lot.

General public pays $15/$25 to upgrade to premium parking.

Pass holders pay $27/$36 to upgrade to premium parking.

On capacity days, being able to enter the employee lot, plus guaranteed admission, is, in itself, a good perk.

BTW, I don't know how this will translate to other days, but we arrived at CT at 1:39 yesterday, and the England lot was 3/4 full. They had blocked off rows for Premier Parking, and were directing everyone in England, as well. We were able to use the employee entrance with our Platinum Pass, however.

Premier worked yesterday. Today I was turned away and told it was not available to Platinum and I had to go through the front gate line to park in France. Lodging a complaint at customer service just got me "it was a separate 30$ for premier Christmas Town parking". They were VERY unconcerned and directed me to some other department. GREAT "customer service" and devaluation of my already paid perk.

We planned to use the note from the park, saying that we can use that gate, regardless of whether we can park in England.  I posted that statement on the Forum.

I thought so, too. It didn't matter to the gate nor CSR. I showed them that park post and yesterday's where you posted about parking there. They asked to see my receipt from yesterday to show we were let in there. I've never gotten a receipt showing my platinum pass. Let us all know how it goes for you.
