I am a little skeptical about the Rudolph thing. I thinking that from this announcement that its going to be a costumes carractor. I personally was hoping for actual reindeer to add back an animal event after loosing the penguins. Hopefully I am wrong on that but I just don't see a place for live animals in Holiday Hills unless they did something on the other side of the train tracks but I don't see that as likely.

I for one rather enjoy riding coasters in the cooler air.  I especially like it at night.  Frankly if more coasters were open I would be more likely to go to xmas town.
Cooler air, and sometimes frigid December air, are two different things Sir.

Yes... BETTER!!!

Hey, whatever it takes to keep Nessie running nicely. Anyway, I have always wanted a Christmas overlay for DarKastle. I would especially love to see it for the sake of old Germanic traditions. I don't know how much the park would prioritize this, because I have always felt that the park tends to forget about DarKastle, just like every ride with special effects.

They would probably need to hire more maintenance staff, if they wanted to keep additional coasters open until New Years. The winter maintenance schedule is already tight.

BGW has just raised the price of the Christmas town pass to 32 dollars for pass members instead of 22, not happy right now :(

The $22 price was an August only offer for Pass Member Appreciation month that was extended a little into September. It was not a set price.

Tempesto will be open...and also Forest of Fun. Official confirmation should be coming out soon. Oh and my favorite show Miracles will be back. I'm crossing my fingers for better choreography.

Edit....this is a rumor I heard from several sources.

Honestly, I really can't believe that FOF will be open. Ever since about 2010 I've heard rumors of it opening from the internet and even people from the park so to see that it's actually opening is surprising.

I wonder how the line for Tempesto will be? I mean it'll pull a lot of people off the pathways but, will it be able to put crowds in and out in a reasonable time? Also, all the rides in Holiday Hill are the themed could we be seeing the first overlay of a coaster at BGW?

I will be glad to ride another coaster during Christmas town and I believe FOF will help with crowds a lot and will be excellent as they have practically already done it, at "A very furry Christmas" at Sesame Place which seems to be successful and looks good. (I tried to word this as best i could at the moment, don't think it came out right.)

Also, does this mean ther will be THREE coasters open during christmas town?(Verbolten, Tempesto, and Grovers alpine express)

I feel like shouldn't have said this as if it was fact. It is a rumor. But from several good sources. I should have said that to begin with. Sorry everyone. :-[

I really want DarKastle and Europe in the Air open during Christmas Town. They're both indoor, climate-controlled rides whose queues eat up potentially thousands of guests.

Yes, yes, I know DarKastle needs the winter season for maintenance. But what if DarKastle stayed open during Christmas Town, then underwent its full maintenance procedure, and the following season just opened a month or so late? With the exception of Spring Break (which is still nowhere near as crowded as Christmas Town and has dozens more attractions to absorb the crowds), it's not like the first month or so of the Spring season really gets major crowds anyway. I think having DarKastle open is vital to helping keep the paths in that area of the park somewhat navigable.

Plus, as others have said before, overlaying Europe in the Air with the Polar Express Experience from SWO's similar Wild Arctic simulator could prove hugely popular and relatively inexpensive for the park. It would make for a totally unique holiday attraction.

I recall Europe in the air being quite popular when it was open for Christmas Town in the past. Does anyone know why they stopped using it?

But could the same be said of a winter-only Polar Express ride? The uniqueness of the ride and the public's affection for the Polar Express franchise seem like a winning combination.

Plus, the last time Europe in the Air opened for the holidays, Christmas Town didn't regularly get as crowded nearly as much as it does now.
