Limiting the number of tickets allowed in the park at any given time isn't gonna stop hoards of people coming in on peak nights to use their tickets only to be turned away at the gate. Even if the park prints that availability is limited on the tickets and park website, people are still gonna raise a stink if they aren't allowed in the park.

The best way to fix the problem with the crowds leaving Twas That Night would be to give everyone things to do in the area. Either open up Griffon or Alpengeist so that people aren't all trying to leave the theater toward the one exit at the same time. With Invadr opening next year, that would def help draw the crowds from the show toward that section of the park, but in the meantime, either run Griffon without the splash zone or have Alpengeist running to help balance the crowds out.

I wouldn't mind seeing Miracles being replaced by a good new show. If they decide to return it for another year, at least revert back to Lesli Shriver's choreography. Christopher D'Amboise and Karma Camp just don't cut it. I still go to the show, but I look away, only to hear the music and watch the lights move.

Yes the choreography was cringe worthy. I hope it returnes this year but with better choreography. If it doesn't return I'm going to be very livid.

I think What she means is that you would have to choose what day you wanted to buy a ticket for in advance and that the ticket would be good ONLY for that day which is not a bad plan for discount tickets.

And really last year the crowds were insane and down right dangerous had there been something as simple as a medical emergency it would have been hard for staff to get to people in some parts of the park some nights. I don't know that they need to do away with discount tickets but at the very least they need to raise them a few bucks. Also they need to figure out a better system of communicating when the park is full and not letting people in and work with local and state agencies to insure that people are not blocking the roads in. Remember the parks exit of 64 east also serves for 60s exit at that end and that creates problems for non park traffic including Kings Mill and Riverside Hospital.

Many people who purchase those cheap tickets are passholders purchasing tickets for family to come visit during the Christmas season, so I'd expect many of them to still buy tickets on peak weekends like Thanksgiving weekend and Christmas weekend or the days kids are out of school. I don't think that'll help with crowds on those nights.

It'll probably at least bring crowds down in the middle of December to what it was before the park decided to do the discounted tickets, but the tickets are good for the park's bottom line in the long run so I don't think they'll do that.

Who knows? It may help bring Sunday crowds back to the way things used to be, but Saturday crowds will more than likely not change at all.

Meanwhile it should be common knowledge that the park will close to capacity on peak nights during HOS and CT considering its been going on for years and years now. The park can communicate that its closed to capacity all it wants, its not gonna stop people from trying to come into the park and causing all the highways to back up for miles and miles. The best way to avoid getting stuck in traffic would be to avoid peak nights altogether. Stick with poor weather days, the week before local schools let out, or Christmas/New Years Eve and the crowds will be minimal.

Griffon can't run without the splash zone the splash zone is part of the breaking and is pretty important

Griffon has been open during CT in the past.
The first year of Christmastown. I couldn't ride because I was pregnant, but my friends did. It was sleeting that afternoon and they got pelted! I can't remember if there was water in the pool or not...
EDIT: Yes, there was water in the pool for sure. Also I didn't read the previous post about it needing the water brake.

And for this Christmas season we're excited to be welcoming Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer, and Friends to our SeaWorld and Busch Gardens Parks.
From the Q2 call.

I wonder what we can expect with regard to this. Will a section be rethemed or a new area opened up? Anyone heard anything?

I remember people talked about this rumor of something happening in Festhaus Park like a mini village themed to Rudolph but, just a rumor. There's a lot going on in Festhaus Park and we'll see what's happening with Christmas Town soon.

There have been a number of internal concepts for Rudolph making an appearance at Christmas Town—one of the largest being what Connor is referencing. Very curious to see what happens to some of Scott's concepts (like this one) now that he's not here to oversee them.

All new for 2016
"Rudolph's Winter Wonderland" Experience Holiday Hills where you will meet Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer and friends.

i was kinda hoping they would incorporate it into the bridge between Nessie and Land of the dragons(if they could do something about the ice) as "Rudolph's landing," with a Rudolph meet and greet near the boats. Though I feel Rudolph is a great fit in holiday hills as they already have dashers diner.

Holiday hills is a great fit. I was just hoping for something different this year. I would have loved to see festhaus park added. I love the event, but they need to add or change something, can't let it get stale!

This is a great move by the park! The location makes sense, now lets hope they decide to open up more rides to help with crowding. That is if they go back to the "twinkle ticekt".

Twinkle tickets or not, the park will still have crowd problems on peak nights thanks to the lack of rides open. I'm hoping the park has at least one other coaster they're planning to run during the event.

Knowing the park; however, this doesn't seem very likely at all.

People don't really ride coasters during Christmas Town. The colder it gets, the less people seem to ride. Even with one coaster open the park doesn't often have an issue with huge lines on Verbolten. The real solution to crowd issues is to open more walking room, which goes back to the Festhaus Park rumors. This year they have the Invadr construction happening though, so I don't see that happening either.

I for one rather enjoy riding coasters in the cooler air.  I especially like it at night.  Frankly if more coasters were open I would be more likely to go to xmas town.
Cooler air, and sometimes frigid December air, are two different things Sir.
