As cold as it is and on a Thursday crowds should be light. Monday the crowds were perfect, not busy but just busy enough. The train however will be a long wait, they seem to only run one train, Monday night around 8pm it stretched to the entrance of the Log Flume and was about 3 trains to get on, 20min trip so expect a good half hour to board. I dont think you need to be there 2 hours early. Check the times guide and plan out your shows, most shows were done by 8pm except Gloria which had a 8:30 final show.

Thank you :)

Not being argumentative here Zachary but want to make sure you know I was talking about the parking lot trams. Not the train. I thought they had TMs to prevent kids and anybody else from walking out in front of a moving tram. Also thought they were there to help people lift their strollers in the tram cars. If it's not a safety issue; I stand corrected.

Same experience with the food for us last night WDWWRLD. We had the same meal last week and it was great. Not so good last night and the turkey was literally dried up and curled up on the edges. The vegetables were just as you described. We had gotten it again because it was so good last week.

basseyfish, the parking lot doesn't even open until 1:30. If you go at noon you are going to be waiting a long time. They might be telling you that if you go on a weekend but I think what they are trying to say is allow yourself 2 hours if you are planning for the Santa Claus feast. I have seen many people miss it because they were stuck in traffic. As far as crowds this will probably be the last night the crowds are light. The local schools here start Christmas break after tomorrow. Last night you could literally walk through the park and seldom pass somebody else on the sidewalk. Absolutely no crowd at all. It was strange seeing how long the line to get in was and then not seeing a bunch of people an hour later.

You'll have a great time.

Whoops! Fixed my typo. Yeah, I meant tram. In the past I believe BGW has almost always placed employees at stations for that very reason. That said, at most other parks I've visited (including Disney) that's rarely ever true. At Dollywood the operator on the tram often just uses the speakers to tell people to stand behind the line as the tram pulls up. I've had similar experiences at Disney.

I wont be leaving till like 4 or 5

I too miss the penguins....the whole setup was kinda neat with the various characters leading up to the penguins. I understand they were costly to transport back and fourth but it would be nice to have something like that back.

I wasnt going to mention the food at he Festhaus, but since Rothbury did I figure I would add to it. We ate there Monday night, while the taste was good the serving size was noticably smaller than from the previous nights. The Stuffing and potatoes servings were about the size of golf balls, and the vegtables were a grand total of 1 carrot, one light colored been and 5 small pieces of green beans. Worst part was the food was cold.....literally the same temp and my strussel dessert. This was after 8pm so im assuming they were just trying to stretch what they had made to make it last. Also as usual they had no idea how to ring up my dining plan and drink cup....still. She then said that they cant give the pass discount on the dessert with the dining plan and she would have to void the transaction and start over, now keep in mind I told here what plans we had before she started ringing things up. Since there was only two registers open and a long line I just said forget it as to not be "that guy" holding up the line.

I was there Monday night and had the exact opposite experience. The server gave me bigger helpings of potatoes and stuffing, a big pile of veggies, and a lot of gravy. It was all hot and tasty. My friend was able to substitute his vegetables for extra potatoes with lots of gravy. Now, the big difference is we ate at 4:30. I guess cliche is true "timing is everything".

Sounds like they weren't expecting to run out of anything earlier in the day so we're just trying to avoid leftovers... Then they started running out?

It must be very inconsistent then. Only 2 spots I've seen them is front gate and at the clydesdale's area. Different topic but they need to revamp the system to directly associate photos to the photokey or at least have more self serve ways to link them
Doesn't the Rudolph area also have photokey photos? And, also the Santa pictures.

Yes, i wasn't referring to these locations, but other "random" areas throughout the park. I hate to toss out Disney, but it would be nice if there were photographers hanging out in picturesque locations throughout the park like they do throughout the various Disney parks.

Ok, gotcha. But, I wouldn't consider the Clydesdale photo to be a random area, either.

They used to have more photokey photographers around the park.

I’ll just say found me as flat there aren’t photo people randomly around the park. Don’t really want to be harassed for hours for a photo, especially which how good some smart phone cameras are.

It would also be nice if those photographers would take the photo as well as taking one with your phone if you wanted. Many many people take photos infront of the tree and post them online, thats free advertising. But although I dont do many characters like Santa or Rudolph the one time a couple yearsago that I didthe team member at the door told us to have our cameras ready buy then when I asked at Rudolph I was told no photos and when I tried to take my own the guy kept putting his hand infront of me....he then followed me to Cornelious and did the same thing. We havent been back since to see if thats the norm or what. I have also seen the same type of thing where they do the horse, owl or whatever outside the stables. You can not be inside the gate and take a photo with your personal camera.

That definitely shouldn't be the norm. You should have complained to GR. You aren't allowed to take photos of the can when they preview the photo but using your own camera at photo locations has always been allowed

I can see the no photo rule at Rudolph, as that could be a copyright issue. Their agreement for the characters may require them to not allow personal photos. BGW probably has to pay for each shot taken and/or sold, so if they allowed personal pictures, that would be less money (potentially) to whoever holds the Rudolph copyright these days.

Experience things like that should be an up charge item. Otherwise they are paying people to not make them money.

SEAS had the rights to use them in any way they want to similar to sesame. There never has been an actual restriction on guests taking photos which their own camera. I have a photo key and I still use my own camera as well because sometimes I get a more candid picture. This is just an example of an employee doing overboard and not allowing a guest to do something that they are supposed to be allowed to do. The TM should have been reprimanded for this.
