Yup, that’s the spot. I didn’t see a generator for myself, but if they do have one I guess that would make a little more sense as to why they couldn’t keep that path booth-free. People were pouring through the store, it was crazy.
Yea, no generator there anymore. In fact there is nothing there. The Craft booths are on one side and benches block off the other side. There’s a gap between them and the shop and they have that blocked with traffic cones.

Found Wassail at both across from Marco Polos and also out front of The Smokhouse. Those were the only two places I saw it though. We didnt get to the park until 8 so we missed all the shows today, the train had a huuuuge line past flume. Would be nice if BGW took a note from the Construction company and put a tree up on Apollo every year, the views from around the park of that tree were pretty cool.

I tried the Wassail, and hate to say it but not a fan.

I wish they would do some things like more specialty hot chocolate, spiced hot cider, specialty coffees, and cookies like pitzelles.

Yea, wasnt as good as I remembered, tasted more apple juice to me than I remembered but then again it was later in the evening on a slower night so it may have just been a older batch. Its my once a year treat so I guess I will try again next season! I wasnt bad though, it was warm and hit the spot on a cool night. I also thought about getting coffee but that was hard to find as well, I found it across from Darkastle but the sign that read "fresh brewed coffee" then seeing the coffee maker sitting idle and the girl tipping the drink warmer box thing to get the last bit out for a previous customer I decided to skip it. They do have some specialty coffees at the cookie shop, the was salted caramel and a couple others....im just a normal coffee person though.

I was there Saturday night with my family and my wife's parents. They've never been to BGW at all, so they were impressed and very impressed with CT. I did QQ for the train and reserved seating for Twas That Night.

I have to hand it to BG customer service. They took care of swapping a Sesame place platinum pass to a BGW one for my daughter, I had it all worked out with them prior but it had to be done at the park to finalize. That took some time but the lady was very nice. I am baffled as to how difficult it was for her to print out my QQ and reserved seating that was purchased all under my account. The paper card approach seems silly and wasteful when it means a card for every person.

The event. Everyone enjoyed it. The love for the hot chocolate I don't get though. It's overly sweet. The mulled wine was barely warm which was disappointing.

I wish there more places around the park to use photokey. Why aren't there more photographers at key photo areas throughout the park? When I had my front gate photo added to the photokey I was shocked and disappointed that the girl that handled it just told me to throw away the QR code card. These should be reused.

I can understand the complaints about lights not working, but guess what, it didn't ruin my night. Yes, I question why someone isn't going around fixing the obvious issues like a small tree that the entire strand is out on. I would like to see something new as well with some areas. Pompeii being the most notable. That is begging for something other than solid white lights.

I enjoy going to all of the Christmas photokey ops with my family every year. I totally agree with the previous poster in wishing that there were more places around the park to use the photokey. Yes, I understand that the Rudolph and Sesame characters have replaced the penguin, snowman, and polar bear photo ops of past years. But in past years I occasionally managed to get additional photokey photos in front of the Festhaus, the Globe Theater, and the clock. There are so many other places that would make great additions to photokey!

I pulled my kids out of school early on Monday and went for the afternoon and evening. We watched Scrooge No More, Gloria, Elmo's Christmas Wish, Deck The Halls and Twas That Night. We also rode the sky buckets from Germany to Scotland and it was so cool to see the tree on top of Pantheon. I was bummed that the food stand next to Pompeii was closed because I wanted the mini donuts but we are going another day so I will get them then. My daughter loves the chocolate cake in San Marco's so she got that, my son loves the giant soft pretzels so he got that and we all had hot chocolate. We split the Christmas dinner platter at Das Festhaus and my kids declared the turkey amazing. All in all, a great night!

I agree, someone with a photokey camera should be in front of Das Festhaus to take pics of people with the tree. And another person in front of the pretend tree lot in Ireland would be a good photo op.

On some night there are photographers there. I've seen them on some of the Sunday nights. I didn't see them this past Monday.

I do think it depends on the night. I have seen photographers out in front of the Festhaus and in front of Pompeii and other places throughout the park.

It must be very inconsistent then. Only 2 spots I've seen them is front gate and at the clydesdale's area. Different topic but they need to revamp the system to directly associate photos to the photokey or at least have more self serve ways to link them

Was at CT last night and it was definitely an "off night" for the park. It started at the parking lot. For our previous weekday visits they parked everybody in preferred. Last night they used the Italy parking lot which then calls for a tram ride to the entrance. I'm okay with that as that is what I'm used to anyway. Not one TM was a familiar face and there were no attendants at the station which was a safety hazard. Then when the tram pulled off it was literally crawling the whole way. I overheard several people say they could walk faster. This was probably about 2:15. When we got to the drop off the line to enter the park was all the way back to the kiosk area. They didn't open at 2! They were supposed to. It opened when we got there. So now we're inside and it's about 2:45. My wife went to the fudge shop to get her peppermint coffee. No peppermint syrup! I could understand if it was 9 or later but not as soon as it opened. The park wasn't crowded so we just walked on back to the crepe place and she got her coffee there. After that it was on to the Festhaus for dinner with our dining plan. The food quality was absolutely the worst I have ever experienced at the park. Bar none. The real reason for our visit was for me to pick up my stein as we knew it would be our last visit for the season. Even that was somewhat confusing. I didn't recognize any TM and the hand lettering for the various beers was so bad you couldn't read it. It was just an all around strange visit as it just didn't seem like the park had it's act together so to speak. As we left the park they had decided to direct all traffic to the preferred parking. Too little, too late. They had already obligated themselves to having to crew trams (still no TM at the station when we left) until the park closed. I chalk it up to a fluke as I have never seen it that bad. Next season opens it will be a distant memory.

As for photokey the ONLY place they were was at the front gate at the fountain. With all of the congestion with the late opening and all it just added to the bottleneck as they gathered family groups for photos.

On another note that has been mentioned here. I saw several maintenance people working on getting lights working. At least they were trying to get things straight. Also, noticed the tree at the top of Pantheon was gone. I guess it got in the way of the construction.

I hope this doesn't discourage anybody from going. Just a bad/strange night from my previous visits.

Just a small note: Not having someone at the tram station isn't unsafe. In fact, it's industry standard in my experience. BGW might be the only park I have ever visited that regularly stations cast members along a tram route. Applying the "What Would Disney Do?" principle here, this is a welcome cost-saving measure in my opinion.

I wasnt going to mention the food at he Festhaus, but since Rothbury did I figure I would add to it. We ate there Monday night, while the taste was good the serving size was noticably smaller than from the previous nights. The Stuffing and potatoes servings were about the size of golf balls, and the vegtables were a grand total of 1 carrot, one light colored been and 5 small pieces of green beans. Worst part was the food was cold.....literally the same temp and my strussel dessert. This was after 8pm so im assuming they were just trying to stretch what they had made to make it last. Also as usual they had no idea how to ring up my dining plan and drink cup....still. She then said that they cant give the pass discount on the dessert with the dining plan and she would have to void the transaction and start over, now keep in mind I told here what plans we had before she started ringing things up. Since there was only two registers open and a long line I just said forget it as to not be "that guy" holding up the line.

As far as Pantheon, I was actually suprised there was a tree up there to begin with. Isnt there a rule/agreement/something that they can not have any lights on the attractions above a certain point other than the FAA lights? I thought I remember reading that in the approval from JCC. Could the Grinches at Kingsmill have made them take it down?

Visited on Saturday 12/14 and had a GREAT experience. Lights were gorgeous, ate in Italy and enjoyed my Italian Sampler, then tried the Cranberry Hot Toddy (awesome). Rode InvadR twice back to back, Verbolten, Finnegan's Flyer, and Eire without much of a line for any of them (arrived at the park at 4:30PM and did all of those before 10PM. Park was crowded but handled the lines well except for the train (Yikes!) My 3 nephews and niece ages 13-17 all were wowed, and my partner who had been to Disney's celebration enjoyed himself a great deal despite the differences we all have discussed between the parks. Festhaus lines were insane, and from what I'm hearing I'm glad we didn't wait.

Also, riding Grover's Alpine Adventure three times as a 32 year-old in the dark (without having to get off for the second run) was fantastic. Truly an underrated junior coaster, and in great shape with what appeared to be fresh paint.

Call me crazy, I had a great time and would give my experience with CT a thumbs up for sure. Pantheon sneak peaks were a plus, and 2020 can't come any sooner!

Im going tonight, would the park be busy? It says on my tickey they recomend going 2hrs before park opens.
