I only asked because I find this funny: generally, when one thinks of the cities of Williamsburg and Tampa, the consensus is usually tasteful for the former versus tacky for the latter... but major props to BGT for taking the decorated train to the next level with the simple addition of greenery and ornaments:
BGW could definitely do a better job with their trains. Although, I do like how they change their color when going through different areas.
There are many small-ish things that can be done better. They can add more to their trains, I really think just zip tying led color changing lights is really neat and cool for a starter event, hopefully as the event grows so will the details for the trains.
Another disappointment was the Countdown to Christmas light display in Holiday Hills. It just feels lik its lacking in decor, the yellow background is just terrible behind the bells and behind the numbers. Also the lights programed don't flow with the music so well at some points and I would go so far as to say it looks very amateur in the line of lighting design choreographed to music, as well as how some of the decorations are.
They could expand on the snow, as far as having it snow in select villages, why not have it snow in certain areas at certain times throughout the entire park? Why not add "snow" or shaved ice as they seem to use for the penguins and snowball game, just lying around in some of the garden areas for decoration or along pathways for kids to be able to touch and feel. I love the added pine smell in certain areas, that really adds a nice touch but why not take that kind of detail and add it into other ideas and areas?

I think that they could add more lights along the path of the train. I know it would ruin the feel maybe but they could add more Christmas trees because there are several parts that are very dark for an extended amount of time. They probably could do what they did to the train during Howl-o-scream and add lit up figures but that would look tacky. They just need more christmas trees and lights.
I have a question. A few of us were talking last night about CT and were wondering if Santa is there on Christmas Eve and if he is still there from Dec 26 to the end. Does anyone know???

I would think he would be their Christmas Eve since that is supposed to be the "real North Pole" although I have never been on Christmas Eve so I don't know, and I can't remember if he was there for NYE last year.
He's there till the end. BGW leaves it to the parents to explain it to the kids. They still want to make money.

Thought about these comments when I was walking through Italy the other day and took these shots. Look how closely these lights are wrapped around the trunk. I am curious how many people work on this one tree & how many hours it actually takes for them to finish it. They had 2 - 3 people working on this tree alone, for about 8 and a half hours each day for 21 days, not including the few days during Howl-o-Scream where they got mostly the base done. They used ariel lifts to get to the top half portion of the the tree. I want to say the same goes for Pompeii as for as hours and labor is concerned. The stars in Scotland was just one person, sometimes two but mostly one. Of course this is information I averaged out coming from multiple sources.
Also, it appears half the Scotland Stars went out and pitch black for approximately half an hour to an hour. Things got very dark. I also heard due to the weather the day after Christmas, there was lots of lights going in and out. Definitely a dangerous day with Christmas lights
How does Busch keep the lights on during the rain? Do they have to use GFI outlets? How do they keep the water out and keep from things tripping? It's crazy because they have so many possibilities for these things to happen but it seems to be rare.
