I love the way Busch Gardens is making their videos now. I hope they continue to make videos like this. I also love the show footage in those videos. I wish I could have some of their video footage. That probably will never happen though. Lol.

I was there on November 30th, when they were shooting most of that footage. I kept running into the photo team with their steady-cam rig and camera boom. There were several times where I had to wait for them to finish so that I could take pictures. At Deck the Halls, they had a real cool rig with an extended boom and a slide to get the raised shots. They do real good work.

Here are some photosphere images I took at Christmas Town last night (aka street view-esk images). They arent the best but they are pretty cool to look/play with.

In my opinion, the two best decorations are the "Peace on Earth" sign (which, by the way, looks amazing from the top of Nacht Tower) and Polar Pathway.
Something I actually noticed the second time I saw Polar Pathway was that the blue lights simulating the water actually shimmer, making it look like the water is rippling; a very good touch.

Final Weekend Crowds

Having usually gone to Chrtistmastown earlier in the month in previous years and enjoyed light crowds I was wondering how attendance has been on previous final weekends, specifically the final Sunday. This year we are planning on the 30th, obviously avoiding Saturday like the plague. Any input is appreciated.

I just noticed that CT will be open at 1:30pm on Saturday. I imagine it will be a zoo there. Has anybody ever been the Saturday before Christmas?

After all the fantastic videos the park has been putting out, this one is a bit of a letdown. Might as well post it anyway.

You can clearly tell this one was done via the marketing department's computers with powerpoint. They really should team up with whoever did the other videos more often.

I have a question. Does anyone at all know how they decorate that tree in Itsly right in front of Festa?

They started putting lights on that tree during the last two weeks of Howl-o-Scream, and finished it a week before Thanksgiving aprox.

Back when CTown only opened on weekends a couple of weeks ago, Do the Christmas lights cut on even on the nights they didn't open?

Most of all Christmas lights are hooked up to generators run by diesel fuel which are manually turned on and off each day.

By the way, Holiday Hills was NOT fully done when Christmas Town opened, they added much more decorations to the top of Peppermint Twist after the second weekend.

When at one of the station stops, could someone try and get a good shot of one of the locomotive engines decorated?

EDIT: ...or could someone verify if they're pretty much still decorated like this (from 2009):
