People walking like they are driving, stay in the right lane vs. walking every which way. I wouldn't mind seeing the pathways getting traffic lines, something to think about when it comes to crowd control. But I think it is just instinct for people to walk or the right side where ever they are headed whenever there are lines guiding them. Usually the crowd will be all over the place and you have people running into each other without the lines.

Please tell me I am right because I feel like I am and I don't want to be wrong.

Anyone figure out the peppermint hot coco? I'm thinking its your standard coco recipe of coco powder, milk, and sugar but with some peppermint extract added. We loved the stuff.
 
Yes. They only have one thingy of hot chocolate. When ordering peppermint they drop a piece of mint into it and poor the hot chocolate on top of it to melt. Very yummy.
 
I once had a hot chocolate maker which is nothing to fancy just stirred and heated up the mix at the same time, but I swear I know their recipe, or at least something very close to it. I mixed milk, Swiss Miss hot chocolate mix, and powdered sugar at just the right amounts and I swear it tasted almost exactly like Christmas Town hot chocolate. Interesting that all they do is plop in a mint, do the two drinks cost differently, if so is the mint they put in worth the extra amount or could you just put a mint in yourself :p
 
I am pretty sure that regular and mint are the same cost. But I did experiment with dropping a peppermint candy cane into my hot chocolate a few times. Pretty much the same thing at BG.
Plus, for us it's more about keeping the hands warm then drinking it up. ;)
 
I love the hot chocolate when it is a bit more thick and sweet, rather than watery. With how amazing it tastes, I can't imagine trying to just keep my hands warm :p
 
Oh yes. You should try dumping it all over your hands and look around as people stare at you in disbelief.
But there is the wafting scent of mint in the air.

I thought you meant holding the cup in your hands and feeling the warmth. That is just oh my. A waste of a perfectly good cup of hot coco. If you want to warm your hands up, go to the closest bathroom and use the hand dryer as a hand warmer.

But just wow, oh wow is all I can say.

That's pretty intersting. I never knew how much stuff they had.:)
 
I can honestly say they have either exactly 1,500 or just over but not by a lot. There are 1,350 trees decorated in the park, while the others are ground up into mulch once a week to give that fresh pine smell in certain areas of the park. I think these numbers are not exact but more along the lines of estimates.
 
Yeah I could definitely smell that pine scent a couple times and it was lovely. I caught whiffs of it walking out of Festa and passing the penguins paradise and it was very strong.

Temps are supposed to be in the 60s and then dip into the 30s tonight, so be prepared for big crowds and potential Verbolten/Mach downtime (later in the night) if you plan on coming to the park this weekend.
 
So, did anyone figure out what time the park opens this weekend? Last weekend it was 1:00 on Saturday.
 
I'm going around 3 p.m. today and I don't know if it is open earlier. Zachary posted something about it being open earlier depending on predicted crowds. So it might be open now.
