A couple of questions. What time can you actually enter the park on a saturday. Also is there a best way to see all the shows. I am heading over today and cant wait. I will have my camera with me and i hope to be able to post them once i have a chance.

I went last night and had no problems at all with crowds. We got there around 5:45 and had to park in the Germany lot. The only show we saw was Miracles and that's just because we stumbled on it when it was getting ready to start. My friend was poking around in shops a lot, so we didn't get to any other shows.

There were no lines for rides at all that I could see. We didn't do any because he's afraid of heights (MT) and didn't want his nose any colder (Alpengeist). :p

We had a really laid back night. I loved the lights and stuff. I just got back from Dollywood, so it was cool to compare the experiences. On the whole, Dollywood wins easily, but they've got more experience.

One criticism I have is that the food at Trappers was lacking. I had the chili and my friend had the sliders. Neither of us was particularly impressed.

So i got to go this past saturday. It was my first time being able to go to Christmastown. I think overall it was alot of fun. The decorations were nice. I was only a little disappointed that some of the vendors i was looking forward to wernt there or i couldnt find them. Also i thought the train ride could have been a little nicer. They could have easily left some of the boxes from fear fair and redone them as blocks through the italian area. I did not get a chance to go on to sky ride. But i bet that was kind of nice. THe shows were all good but i did not get to miracles so cant comment. I would say that by far Deck the Halls was the better of the other two shows. I think having the sheep out interacting with the people was also something new that was fun to watch.

The first two will be open pending weather, the Trade Winds will be closed since the area it's in will be closed.

Hello all, first post here. I've been reading for awhile now. I thought at some point I should jump in...now is as good of a time as ever!

Anyway, what is the lowest operating temperature for rides like Mäch Tower and Alpengeist? I'm planning on going to Christmas Town (for the 2nd time) during the week of Christmas and am kind of afraid that the two rides may not be operating because of low temperatures.

Also, I too was disappointed with the vendors this year. I felt that last year there was a better selection of unique items.

The last two years (when Griffon was open instead of Alpengeist), the cut-off was at 40 degrees. I haven't heard anything different for this year, so I'm going to assume that's staying the same. For Mach Tower? I'm not sure of the temperature, but as PzP said, it has a low wind speed tolerance.

I know they shut down alpie at 40 and inspect everything...I believe I read it can run down to 36 or 37, but they always cut at 40. It's a nice cushion

From my friend at Busch: the b&m coasters shutdown at 40 degrees. He does not know when LNM or MT shuts down though

At the event Carl Lum said 40 degrees is the cutoff for Alpie but the sensor is lower to the ground where Griffon's sensor is at the top of the lift, so Alpie may actually be able to run a few degrees below what Griffon can.

Either way, when it gets near 40 degrees, not too many people want to ride because it is too cold

Tonight was great. Hardly any crowds, no lines, pretty good weather, etc. Also, I have a filming of Gloria but I'm not sure if it's good enough to post or not. If it is, I hope to have it up sometime tomorrow.

I'll upload a few over the next couple days.
