But why would they be touching Deadline? It's defiantly a long-term house. If I'm not mistaking, they normally leave everything intact.

To make room for whatever Pompeii is holding for CT? I know catacombs is a long-term house, but they have to remove some stuff for the penguin stuff.

I guess that could be it. We really need more information about that Christmas Town attraction, don't we? The official description doesn't really tell anything.

What about the Subway car?

Just a guess... but most likely the "car" it is not one piece.... then again I only saw that set in a darkened environment. I would subscribe to the idea that they are doing work on the Pompeii boats whether it is restoration or simply winter storage.

The car was no different than the rest of the house. The room was just themed to a car. it was boards and seats mounted in the boards.

I would bet it is just to take out...Pompeii

This is what I want to see.

Well played :p If they took it out to put something better in there, I would agree, but it was just an expansion of Forest of Fun or something like that, I would definitely them just have Pompeii.

Getting somewhat back on topic though, I don't really agree with the boat theory because they have a small permanent crane (seen here - the green thing) there anyways that pivots to load them onto a vehicle of some sort (I believe...). Good theory, but then again I don't know what Christmas Town prop would need a crane to install.

^ I thought that was just to move the boats in and out of the water. I doubt it's tall or maneuverable enough to be used to load them onto a truck.

Does anyone remember seeing the Pompeii boats out there last year during Christmas Town?

Pretty sure I saw them one year up on the lift hill covered up.

Almost seems like if you had a small, flat-bed type truck it would be possible, but I guess a full-sized crane would be easier. If anyone has a chance or happens to go by there and its still up, check it out. It looks kinda different to me. Not at all like the ones seen for the construction of Verbolten or previously for Griffon.

I can't imagine whatever the "Polar Pathway" is would be inside Pompeii. I mean, when one thinks of "waterfalls of light. The smell of pine trees in the crisp frosty air", the first thing that springs to mind isn't exactly the musty inside of a ride that has been associated with Howl-O-Scream for years. But yet, the description mentions photo opportunities and specifically calls out Pompeii, and I don't see how this is possible without using the inside of the attraction.

Remember Pompeii is a huge building and they are adding 1 million lights to it alone... Maybe they are using the crane to get to the heights of the building lining every square inch of the building with lights? Maybe a lift couldn't get to the position so it was the only possible thing.

Remember that Deadline was probably designed with Christmastown in mind this year, just like Catacombs is with the penguin exhibit. I'm sure they've put in enough thought to the design of the haunted house that they could easily disassemble it to make way for the Polar Pathway.

"Waterfall of light" could mean that they will be covering the drop from Pompeii with lights and you walk under that into the Polar Pathway.
