So I leave this thread for a little while and come back to find turtle sandwiches?

(NOTE: The turtle sandwich and the extremely random movie reference is really the only thing that I've gotten out of the last 10 posts or so.)

I just wanted to reiterate overall not to expect fancy flying dragons, glittery rainbows, dozens of new flats, new coasters and puppies that poop gold when the on-going "changes" are happening. :)
What ~No Candy Mountain Charlie? Oh, and mind tricks don't work on me.

I noticed the same work being done on my visit over the past weekend. However, I believe that if the changes are permanent, they will be minute. Possibly the stockade was cut down to increase the view of Griffon with its special lighting during Illuminights, though it seems strange that it would be done so late. I know that I would love to see New France re-themed, (it is the only area that has always felt that it didn't belong) but I doubt that such an undertaking would be made with the tower ride being built and the future replacement for the BBW sometime later.

Yeah, both of the things mentioned have to do with Illuminights. They cut the stockade to give more room for the float with the zeppelin on it. The path connecting Griffon and New France was opened up to create a bypass route for guests who did not want to watch the parade and were just passing through the area.

I heard that the MOOSE LODGE building aka lost children spot in new france is going to be torn down this winter and a new one to be built near Land of the dragons...

Well, if I'm not mistaking, this corresponds with what Nora was hearing... I find it believable.

Yeah, I heard that as well. It's not hard to move park operations to a different location and removing that building would really open that area up.

Thats not going to happen. The other half of the building i used for Park Operations.

This is what i was told by a worker at the moose lodge when i was there using the changing area(little one 9months). they said that the building was not in "good shape" and is to be torn down with a new $80,000 building to be going in near the land of the dragons that will be for lost children and a moms nursing area.
was also told that they are moving the scramble from germany to where the canadian palladium is at.

Did they say "to where the Canadian Palladium is at" or "into the Canadian Palladium"? I really don't want to see the structure go...

From what I've seen the Canadian Palladium is to be demolished and the scrambler moved to that exact location. I don't see anything about any other buildings being altered in New France, there is a chance that could be under a different contract but again I haven't seen anything else in Busch Gardens. I'll keep an eye out.

Thats what I got from Reilly. Part in word, and part in assumption. Gotta say, he was pretty straight forward when it came to not so secret parts of the project.
If only I could of talked with him more awesome, it would have been great.

I see no reason to tear down the existing one though. perhaps they will just add one to Land of the Dragons. Which by the way KNOCKS THE SOCKS OFF Elmo land or whatever it is. Although, Grover's happy coaster, or whatever it is, was a smart addition to the park. I just want the petting zoo back...

LOD has more room for this addition than SS. plus its central location in the park helps a lot too. im sure you'll see a small remodeling of the area that the moose lodge is in with katapolt coming in there

If I remember correctly the palladium was coming out and they where going to rework that area and install the ride there.

I got this picture today from a friend who was at busch today he said it is sitting in the employee parking lot waiting for the new area it is going to in france to be ready for it.

It really isn't a very complex ride. In fact, it's not all that much different than the ones that are made to travel with carnivals. Easy to assemble and disassemble as well as move.

Believe it or not, but the swings are the same way. BGW often takes the whole ride apart for maintenance and cleaning. From what I know, it is pretty easy to take down and reassemble.
