I was just lucky enough to have experienced this showing in person. I have seen the past two season's last showings, but this is by far the best one of the three that I have seen personally. Throughout the show the dancers switched off with each other in different numbers, but what was really amazing is that they all came out and danced for the final number. So where there was usually 10 Irish dancers out for the final number, there was 14 for this final number. The dancing line was definitely the longest one I've seen in the Abbeystone in a long time, it brought back some cherished memories of Irish Thunder. And despite the reblocking the final number went off flawlessly, just like it was any other show.
I've never witnessed something like that in past years, but I feel that it has something to do with how Gasparich is gone and the performers aren't being threatened with termination if they break script. However, this was probably the most on-script showing I've seen, I guess they didn't feel the need to rebel.
The singers were great, also. The proprietor did great, and the voice lady hit a note at the end of her song of such caliber that I've never heard in the park before, and she hit it perfectly, not muffled. This is the exemplary show for final showings that I want to see. I went to see things like Gloria 2013's last showing, which had an amazing cast with great voices but they wore out their voices way too early in the show, to the point where they could hardly hit their normal ending notes that they could normally hit. The same goes for almost every other last showing of any show I've seen, but this showing was perfect in terms of vocals.
Also, the cast only had one change the entire year, which was fairly early in the season.(compare that to Roll out the Barrel) Anyways, it was a great experience and definitely made Celtic Fyre 2015 stick in my memory.
