I could get very excited over adding a fiddle. However, if they don't have a bodhran, that can be lethal to the sound of the show. Although, in 2013 most of the extra bass was created by the keyboard upstairs. I hope they work them into the show properly. So many people hear the main backing tracks, and think the performers are "faking it". In some rows, the only way to hear the instruments off-mic. is during the "Wild Rover" song. I would love to see the park truly respect the live musicians. It's increasingly rare.

I think this is by far the most solid performance I have seen at the beginning of the season. The entire cast was very much into that show. I thought the singing near perfection. I especially thought the innkeeper was very good. His Irish accent was on point, his acting was good, and he also sang very well.

As always, they reworked a few scenes. They finally touched on a minor problem that has been there since the shows debut: the guests. This time, they were not friends of the bride. They were total strangers from America. The innkeeper almost turned them away, "I'm sorry, we are booked because of the wedding." and they both handed him wads of cash one after the other. Suddenly, the innkeeper was much more optimistic about their stay. Then he said "They must be Americans!" This also gives the Irish dancers a reason to be weary of the guests in the later scene, because they are foreigners that come in acting crazy and show-offish.

They also made a significantly improved the choreography in the dance that comes directly after "the voice". It looked much more intricate without overdoing it. Other standouts were the two "story songs" (Finnigan's Wake and Wild Rover). They reinforced the idea that the Irish dancers were entertaining the Americans and guests with stories told through singing and dancing. Essentially, everything that to me, was previously cringe-worthy is gone. Congratulations to the park with this show. Please don't change anything.

I worry about what the park is going to do with the dogs now.

I talked with some of the trainers, and Carl Lum. The trainers said that they will make random appearances later in the season.I think they said Finn seems to enjoy it a bit more than Connor. So much like Pet Shenanigans(the way it's supposed to go); it will all depend on how the animals are feeling that day.

I thought the singers were very good this year, they focused a lot more on correctly pronouncing the words of the song, rather than just trying to amplify their voices.

Surprisingly, the choreography changes were actually really impressive. Most of the new dancers did an amazing job.

The missing bodhran was very noticeble in some parts, but I thoroughly enjoyed the addition of the fiddle.

So I saw Celtic Fyre for the first time yesterday and all I can say is, wow, that is a good show. The dancing, the singing, the music! It all tied tied together to make an excellent combination. The audience could connect to the show as American tourist were visiting from Ireland( and if you listen the soundtrack has a lot of American sounding instruments. I can't really put into words my love for this show. It's just so, so, perfect. But let's get to the good stuff. I was making my way to Griffon when Scott Gasparich asks "Hey would you want to answer some questions about the show and share your thoughts?" I had never seen the show so I responded "I'd be glad to but I've never seen the show, I'll make sure to see the 6:00 showing!" We then went our ways as he talked to a few other people. I know everyone is probably "Connor, you realized you could've changed the face of the park!" But, I'd rather be honest than lie.

"100% of guests I spoke to in the park today have never seen Celtic Fyre before! It is clearly the least important show in our lineup. We need to do something bigger and better in the Abbeystone for next season!"

I'm sorry, I couldn't resist.

By 100%, do you mean one person? I haven't seen the guy in a long time. I haven't seen him at all this season. Certain executives are getting very good at keeping a low profile, especially him. Heck, even Carl Lum approached me, knowing who I was. This is even though I usually consider him to be fairly shy.

If I had a chance to comment to Scott Gasparich on this show, I would give nothing but compliments. Yet I would still probably offend someone in some way. I think I did that while I was talking about some other show. I said "Other than Celtic Fyre, this is the best show the park has done in eight years!" Sigh, you can never win.

^ For the past three years or more, the cast has always thought that their last performance would be the last for the show. However, the park wouldn't dare touch the show, because they haven't had any show good enough to match up to or exceed this one. It could go either way this time. Personally, I think the real high-ups will be the ones to make the ultimate decision.

I know that but the stage managers were talking about how the show has been going for six years now which is extremely long for the park. I've heard they said this every year but they were really serious. They seemed sad that the show is most likely leaving but they also mentioned they were excited for a new production. Also, for the minute or two I talked to Scott he seemed really nice and it appeared he was actually listening to my feedback.
