So this forum has turned into a checkout counter tabloid, good job.

Oh, please!

It's not like we're digging into their life story.

A lot of parks and entertainment entities post and advertise celebrity visits. BGT and SeaWorld do it quite frequently on their Facebook pages, and why shouldn't they?! It's a great marekting tool and great exposure for the park to draw in visitors.

Agreed every bit.

With some of these "celebrities", they're just visiting for fun, not doing any promotions, concerts, ect. Is that really note worthy?

Like I said. It's good marketing.

When a park or other entertainment venue posts a celebrity visit it makes news. It draws attention to the park and that is something they would want.

I myself find these visits interesting for the fact that this area isn't a Hollywood A-List stomping ground like Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills or Madison Avenue in NYC. It's good to know that many of these people are going out of their way to visit.

No need to crap on this thread with statements like "This is getting tabloid" or "That person is a celeb? Who cares?"

Maybe it's just me not caring that a person who's on a prime time broadcast show is visiting the park, but I seriously see this thread on the same level as a tabloid. Do people have to make a big deal over people visiting the park to have fun? If it was for a promotion for a ride opening or a concert, I can see making note of it. However, making a big deal out of somebody trying to have fun on their day off is tabloid level stalking.

edit: Marketing is when the park pays people to come and promote something or perform, this is not.

Example given...

If that was the case then why does SeaWorld have this album?

https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.84140617564.104684.63617892564&type=1

They didn't announce these visits prior but they sure are advertising them after the fact!

That album is still the park bringing them in for promotion. The celebrities discussed in this thread haven't been gloated by BGW, they were there for fun so this is still tabloid level.

Whatever dude!

If you don't care for this thread then don't read it.

No need to s*** it on with calling it tabloid (something it is obviously not)!

This thread is just interesting useless facts basically. Yes it has no point almost, other than to those who wish to know if something has had a celebrity visit or not, but it is not something worth fighting over.

Basically, if anyone was curious as to what famous people have visited all they need to do is check this thread. It is not like we are trying to capture pictures, videos, map out where they were, or even find out what they did. It is just us pointing out interesting unneeded info.

I mean, how is talking about random people visiting the park for fun not something a tabloid would publish. I guarantee that if one of the Kartashians visited it, you'd see pics of it at the register of a Food Lion.

This guy became famous after working for Busch Gardens Entertainment the fine, sexy, delicious Taye Diggs WOO! ;)

Blair Underwood as well.

I have a handful to add to the list. I was on the Wolf Crew in 2001, and during this summer, BGW decided to have a little somthing called "Club Busch Gardens." This event was for the under 18 only and took place down at the loading dock of the RRC. If I remember correctly, it was Friday and Saturday nights and they always had a DJ, but they did have some decent names at the time come and perform. The two that I remember that came and rode the Wolf were Sisqo and Vitamin C. They both were incredibly nice, no issues or egos.

That same summer, on one of THE rainiest days I have ever seen in muh life, Mick Foley/Mankind/Cactus Jack was there with his two kids. We averaged way under 500 guests at any given time during the day, and to be able to send the Wolf out of the station, you had to have at least 6 people on the train. See, when there is absolutely no one in line for a roller coaster, why not wait for the front? SO who does that leave to make up the other needed weight? The ride ops. I love my Wolf, but I hated it that day with a passion. Having to sit there in our uniforms in painful rain going down that last drop for hours straight was no fun. BUT...I got to ride it with Mick. Again, super nice, he's a coaster/theme park super fan, and it made me question how he knew to come on a day when he seriously just strolled around the park without being bothered, or was it just luck.

About halfway through our shift one Sunday, we were asked for volunteers to stay for a couple of hours after the park closed for a private event. We were not told who it was for, only that it would not last more than 4 hours, and that the ride may or may not have to be operated at all. After all the guests left, it turns out that Missy Elliott had rented out the park for her and her family and friends for a bit. Once again, no issues.

Others that I have seen were Chad and Pharrell from N.E.R.D and Allen Iverson. I went to high school with Allen, so that was no big deal, and we spoke for a while about being fellow Bruins.

The park also had an official visit from the AB family that everybody was freaking out about because it had been so long since they decided to drop by. This was a huge deal and we had to be there earlier than the birds to scrub down everything. There's a picture of me with them somewhere, but lord knows where.

Hope this helps!

Geesh, wonder how much that cost?

Oh goodness, lots. She got it tho. Why not?

He went to Granby High, so again, not that big of a deal. He's a local.

Oh yeah I remember Club Busch Gardens I worked in 2001 in the Festhause that year. I got an autograph and picture with some DJ that year this DJ was a guy who was from MTV. He is so cute and also remember in 2001 of all the hustle hustle when the owners of the park or someone like that being in the park. Oh I just figured out the DJ's name DJ Skribble and I still have his autograph. :)

Ha! I found the archived Club Busch Gardens site on the Wayback Machine. It lists all the people who were there. Ananda Lewis, Dj Skribble, PYT (who? I know right).
