It is my opinion that the way Busch operates to try to pinch pennies in some operation areas, they may be milking all they can out of this train accident NOT to run the train. After all, the train is expensive to run. Busch typically closes earlier than the competing park and does not open the full park until 11ish. The closing of DarKastle with no replacement is another example, as well as letting Europe in the Air sit idle for a year. Busch to me is confusing as they definitely spend $ on landscaping, but then fall short in operations.
I doubt that. Most guests have no idea the fire ever happened so the idea of "milking" it to save face while keeping the train closed wouldn't make any sense.
With the amount of work it appears they're putting in for the train Christmas Town light show, perhaps they wouldn't have run the trains during Halloween anyway. A lot of poles and black plastic would have made for a pretty ugly train ride.
I highly doubt they would voluntarily close the train on the highest capacity time of year. They probably started CT train setup early since the train is already closed.
I'd make a joke about deer, but I don't want to.be bitched at by those who hold no power here.
The local park squirrels, on the other hand, have told me that the trains are being rethemed to the dippin' dots express. It's true I swear on my nonexistent container of dippin' dots :////
Yes they are. The article is a little misleading as the damaged train was not itself repaired as of yet.
We went on Friday last week and noticed the entire blue train's front car (engine / tender) has been removed from the track and was nowhere to be seen from Invadr. Previously it was covered with a tarp and sitting behind the Caribou Station. Hopefully it is off for repairs for next year!!!!
Maybe worth noting. This last Sunday, while at the park. I spoke with one of the conductors at the Caribou station. They indicated that final installation of hoses, parts and touch up painting was getting done this week. And we may see it back on the tracks operating as early as the next two weeks, by the end of the month. Take that information as you will.
