It would be nice to relocate the skyride to six flags great America to replace it's original but , definitely not happening.
Except that the fall special events run into football season when the park has to close any time there's a game being played at the stadium next door. It doesn't make sense to do only Saturdays for Halloween and Christmas.I'm actually a bit surprised the park will make it as far as the 2027 season after all the special events were discontinued for the 2025 season. It felt like things were speeding up to a more immediate closure.
They've even talked about "winding down operations" last month with cuts coming November 2nd. I have a hard time buying that they reversed the course without any hard evidence.I'm taking that with a wheelbarrow full of salt.
To be frank, it just makes absolutely zero sense.
I'll be thrilled if I'm proven wrong, but... I don't buy it.
This art popped up on Instagram that looks like CGA. No idea if it’s a real proposal or what, but the company has worked with Knotts in the past:

We know CGA has flirted with the concept of a "CityWalk"-style development outside the park, and this looks like it has that concept as well, and also with a hotel that looks like Hotel del Coronado (similar to the Grand Floridian) is present as well. Guessing this is old art between the years of 2013 and 2018; somewhere between Gold Striker and Railblazer's opening.so, this is a what could have been or supposal for redevelopment of the park
