New on the FB page

"Hey I have a safety concern. I was there in a really crowded day and my 5 year old was walking right beside me when we were the bride from Germany to Italy he bolted away from and went to the edge of the bridge and started climbing on it. .and as I was trying to get to him Since it was so crowded it took me a few seconds. ..he could have climbed the whole thing then fell over. ..I know it's our responsibility to keep up with our kids but in a split second little kids can get away from us and they are curious about not being able too see what's under the bridges... has this ever been a concern. .maybe consider installing plastic covering to make the sides of the bridges taller... I'm going my son isn't the first one to climb the edge (side) of the bridge... if so then please disregard this but it's always been a concern of mine even though I'm constantly watching them. .he bolted this time without me getting to first. Thanks for your consideration in this matter."

How about "Hey, Little Johnny, dont climb on the bridge!"
Seriously woman, parent your child.

RE: BGW's Social Media

Actually that post is great! If you look carefully at the beginning, it reads like a dream sequence. The child walking right next to her, and suddenly she is a bride traveling from Germany to Italy. Shouldn't the wedding come before the child, or it that old fashioned?

Soon enough they are going to have all children under ten wear life vests while wrapped in bubble wrap with a leash for their parents to hold. :dodgy:

Parents already use leashes, you know the little "monkey" backpacks that have the tail for parents to use as a leash.

RE: BGW's Social Media

^ Yes, but the park will loan parents with children 10 and younger a leash, which they will return when they leave. They can charge extra if the parents want a leash for children 11 and older! :p

Yes you are old fashioned :p. My wife and I had 2 kids before our wedding, marriage to us was just a piece of paper. As BGW Family and CK and park security can attest, my kids run rampant through the park, but know better than to climb on the side of a bridge. It is strictly a parenting issue.

RE: BGW's Social Media

I just posted a response to this "kid running off to climb the bridge wall." Simply- hold your kid's hand on a bridge if it bothers you.

Simply this: f you are walking by a busy street, do you hold your kid's hand or do you let them run off and then blame the people who built the road for your kid getting hurt? ::sigh:: I guess we need plastic walls for everything and put all kids in a big hamster wheel bubble. </sarcasm> :dodgy:

However, I did think of a creative way to make a child's day better. I would have loved this as a kid growing up at the park. Here is my answer on BGW's FB page:

I think a better solution is to add plexiglass "peek holes for Children" on the bridge. I remember as a child wanting to look over to see the Big Bad Wolf so bad. It would be a cute idea and could be easily implemented. Hopefully, someone will read my idea and it will keep beauty of the bridge from looking like a plastic wall and lose its charm, while providing places a kid can see through and enjoy watching Verbolten or the Loch Ness.

Yes you are old fashioned :p.

It is probably all that Jane Austen I like to read.

(We could have a serious conversation about this, but not here.)

RE: BGW's Social Media

What a MAJOR disappointment Busch Gardens was. We should have known when they charged us $15.00 just to park. Entrance fee was $70 each. The place could learn SO MUCH from Disney World. It was dirty, the bathrooms stunk, the train loop showed nothing of the park. Walking between areas was terrible. No signs to indicate directions or anything. Could not find any food kiosks. Only good thing was the roller coasters. But if you are not riding the coasters, then don't waste your money. Only thing of value for us was seeing the Clydesdales and a couple of Border Collies. That was an expensive way to see big horses and two dogs. The country areas were nothing when you compare to EPCOT. MAJOR BUST AND EXPENSE. " P U" (

First of all, don't go to a Theme park if you don't want to spend money. Secondly, We're not Disney World, there will always be a little dirtiness at any Amusement park get over it. They're public bathrooms what do you expect it to smell like? Fourthly there are direction signs all over the place! And they're are food places practically everywhere you look What are you talking about? Lastly this guy has no idea what he's talking about, and most of these issues could've been solved if he just picked up a map, or looked at one around the park.

This has to be probably the most ridiculous post I've ever seen.
