While i understand everyones need to live what ever way they wish, but the little knowledge i have of it from close friends this event should not have come as a suprise. For some this is an everyday occurance in their lives in some form or another. If someone wants to go around wearing ears and a tail(while not my slice of pie but hey to each their own) and its against the rules in someplace and it is known then yeah i dont see room for a complaint. Its possible that someone overreached their authority but i guess we will never know.
I'm super late to this party, but I wanted to add my two cents:
-I have worn lolita into the park before with no problem. Granted this was also at Christmas Town, but my friends and I were completely decked out in wigs, petticoats, etc.
-I know this woman, we have mutual friends on facebook and I have seen her at our local cons. That entire crowd are the types to make a big deal out of nothing. My friend also speculates that she was trying to come into the park practically wearing half a fursuit, which is much more obtrusive than simple ears and a tail. I know people who wear these things and the tails are so big that they drag on the ground. She could be completely innocent, but if her behavior was anything like the local furry/rave scene tends to produce at cons, I can fully understand why Busch didn't want her in the park dressed like that. It could also have been a newer employee to have said something at first, and the whole thing escalated from there.
I don't know, I just have a hard time empathizing with people like this. Furries are nothing really new to me, a lot of them can be kind of cool and have a minimal sense of self-awareness. This person in particular does not. (PS. was there really a 4chan thread about this? That's rich.)

And it begins. Im just going to sit here and shake my head. This is a theme park, its ridiculous there is nothing offensive about this at all. I could see if they had something like the swastika plastered somewhere but they dont. I myself am german, and while I feel that what happened was wrong im not going to ignore my heritage because of that. Its a theme park. End of discussion. Get a grip ppl. Its getting to the point one cannot breathe in this world with out offending someone.

Why doesn't the park remove that post? Surely nobody can be that ignorant and know how to use a keyboard. The park has really been slipping about removing spam.
I'm more appalled they have a England section in the park with no mention of all the patriots that died for America.

Other important events that clearly need "exhibits" at BGW:
- England: The Black Death. The massive mortality rate associated with this series of plagues (eg, they killed 1.5 million people out of an estimated total of 4 million people between 1348 and 1350) had far-reaching affects on English society and its economy.
- Scotland: The Anglo-Scottish Wars. How can the park ignore the hundreds of years of conflict and war between the Scots and the English, which resulted in mass bloodshed, and ended Scottish independence?
- Ireland: "The Troubles." Ignoring the struggles between the Irish and the British, to include the roles of the IRA and the UDA, is tantamount to glossing over modern Irish history, and callous to the many victims of the violence.
- France: The Reign of Terror. This dark event in French history gave us Madame Guillotine and changed the face of the French Revolution, leading to the summary execution of countless enemies of the Revolution.
Italy: The Goths. The sacking of Rome and the ultimate fall of the Roman Empire can be linked to the long Dark Ages and the loss of learning across the board from science to philosophy to medicine to engineering.

To be fair, one could argue the former HOS house, Wicked Woods, honored (mocked?) the black plague.

An excellent plan for an exhibit! You should submit it to BGW! They do like making drastic changes to the Festhaus, after all.
I'm just glad he didn't decide to blast Pompeii, which is directly themed to a tragedy that killed over 1,500 people. But that's none of my business.
Somebody posted a vertical video of Verbolten on the park's Facebook page. So much for the "no loose articles" policy.
So, I guess the question is which is more horrifying:
1. That people are saying these incredibly ignorant and bigoted things, or
2. That BGW hasn't deleted the entire incredibly offensive discussion.
