Yeah the soundtrack is quite nice and there's a musical build in the same theme that plays with dispatches. Agreed the screens on the left are not very effective because they are so close to the train, but it makes you realize how little space they had to work with in there. If you get the right timing, the screen on the right is pretty cool. The audio/music throughout the ride definitely helps drive the ride a lot and the station and queue are fantastic.
I think it would be cool if the statue had a fog/mist effect of some kind, but I'm not mad if the park decided to cut their losses on something they probably wouldn't maintain longer term. I hope the Festhaus Park project will deliver a similar level of theme.
I might be completely off base but I’m thinking there was a fog effect with the tunnel back in the day ? And someone got sue crazy and claimed to be medically affected by the fog (I think the park won) but the effect was removed regardless? Someone else please chime in if I’m totally off ?

Don't know if it progressed to an actual lawsuit but I know there were claims that the fog triggered breathing crisis on more then one occasion.

Missed out on passholder previews last weekend, but was able to get a ride on the first train today, on the left side in the second car from the back.

The right side is preferable, given the new shed, screens in the tunnel, as well as the Nessie statue. But I found the audio better on the left side, likely because that is where the speakers are on both lift hills. As for smoothness, I judged the improvement as being minimal. Perhaps that is because of where I sat and/or due to the cold overnight temperatures, and I will be curious to see how the ride feels in other seats on warmer days.

Overall, I am happy BGW made the investments it did here, and I only wish Six Flags Great America would do the same with Demon.

Did you see someone in a green BGW shirt with all the coasters on it?

After A LOT of rides, this is my takeaway too. Low-key think the people on social media who are declaring the coaster dramatically smoother or whatever are succumbing to a placebo.

The track replacement part of this project was very much a preservation effort, not a ride experience improvement play.

Thankfully, the thematic enhancements do PLENTY enough to improve the actual ride experience regardless.

Virginia Beer is killing it with these park tie in beers! Love it!!! McDonald's killed it with the loch ness meal too. My boys both loved it and had to get one. We still have two boxes! Lol

Kevin confirms Nessie track merch is in production and should be here in a few weeks. Price points will range from approximately $75 for a key chain with a tiny Part to around $350 for a full size wall mount plaque with a large piece on it. Wall plaques will be a limited 100 item collector run. He said there is an in-between item but didn't remember the price point on that.

To me stuff like this is a big "What If". Like had AB never sold the parks in this day and age would they have made "Craft" style park exclusive themed beers like this for the parks. I know back in the day they used BGW and BGT as test markets for some beers but nothing that was ever themed to a ride.
