Guess ParkFans does need a page on that other "____Fans" website after all
Thinking a great poll question would be how many folks here are members on the other site. Though I doubt the majorriy of folks that are on both sites contribute content to the other site.

The current state of this thread is more evidence that BGW should have already announced DarKoaster. Can't believe they're waiting this late—feels like they're really shooting themselves in the foot marketing-wise.

Announcing Pantheon at the end of July in 2019 went BRILLIANTLY. By all accounts and indicators, the park sold an absurd number of passes through a typically-slower pass sales season. Why they've taken that experience and said "fuck it, overlap the new ride marketing with Howl-O-Scream," is just baffling to me. It looks so very obviously wrong.

My thought is maybe it will be the winter/spring thing and post CT they will announce it and say it’s open now at the same time.

Busch Gardens announcements are so funny. The hype is so muted, disjointed, and never like the awesome reveals we get from CF parks. If DarKoaster had the same announcement style as Zambezi Zinger or Big Bear Mountain, it'd be fantastic. But here we are with Busch like "We have 10 things, no I mean 9, JK, hush, bye."

Get loud about your additions and F the Wendy's bags! 😂

It's especially silly after Pantheon was handled so well. Teasers well ahead of time, in person announcements both at the start of teasing and for the official unveiling, etc. To see the park return to an almost Tempesto-style radio silence just has me over here facepalming so hard. We know this shit doesn't work. We know what DOES work. The gameplan was executed perfectly for so many years—yet BGW's current marketing team just doesn't seem to give a damn. Hideaway, the HOS announcement, DarKoaster—it's lazy blunder after lazy blunder right now.

I miss Kevin's Town Hall speeches at member preview day

SWO randomly threw up a webpage for Project Penguin a while back and has preceded to do nothing at all in the time since. It's just gross incompetence.

What I don't understand is why any company not want to market or tease any investment at all. If it's strategy or incompetence, it seems very wrong. Marketing something after its already built/being sold doesn't make sense to me. Once it's built, it's supposed to be immediately making money. Trailers are shown for movies 6 months to a year before they come out and opening weekend is THE weekend they make money from what I've noticed.

Marketing is definitely not my area of expertise but telling the world about your unique product should be like the top priority. After all, roller coasters are built for people to ride, no? Otherwise they're giant multimillion dollar wastes of money.
