I can’t have a debate with you if your going off of pure emotion, at this point I don’t even understand what your trying to say with that response.
I literally have no idea what context you put that post in if you don't understand it. Frankly, the situation has affected quite a lot of us emotionally and I fail to grasp why you feel the need to scold people for it.

I’m not scolding you at all, I simply said I didn’t understand your take, I even tried to clarify to you I wasn’t trying to come across as condescending. I’m simple trying to have a conversation. You are the one with your heart on your sleeve right now, just because I have a different opinion on you doesn’t mean you should take it as an attack. For the last few months this forum is a discussion board for conversation debate speculations and information the last few days sense that blueprint came out it has some what devolved to a giant argument. I genuinely don’t know how to take your previous response. But again to reiterate what I was trying to say. I myself can not understand why you would want to cancel your membership for this year, for what “may” happen the following year, after we have seen two different sets of blueprints go up and come back down.

I'm confused
If everyone is so upset and can't stans SEAS
Why do you keep going back to the park?

This argument always feels super bad faith to me, but, assuming you're being serious:
  1. The place means a lot to many of us. Many of the folks 'round here have been going to BGW for our entire lives and, because of that, legitimately care about the place.
  2. Because many of us are fans of immersive, themed entertainment and it's not like that's a market segment where there's a ton of (or any) regional competition.
  3. Many of us are coaster enthusiasts. For many Hampton Roads and Richmond folks, there are two answers for coasters in the area.
I think a lot of us would patronize alternative, better local options if they existed.

@Jwanger93 honestly I think you just took my initial post out of context. I had “buyers remorse” because the company I just gave a bunch of money made a decision I don’t personally care for and find the logic of to be lazy and that of a business cutting corners. I’m not calling SEAS to cancel my membership over it as I’m sure the documents I agreed to have this covered. That’s kind of it really.

I have also been going to the park most of my life and have noticed the changes {mostly not for the good}
My point is all people on this page seem to be doing latelyy is complaining about every little nit picky thing
You yourself said it their are not alot of options in this area
So I say why not embrace what we have and enjoy it
If I was someone from out of the area that had never been to the park I would read some of these posts and NEVER go as people here seem to make it a total waste of time
Before you all start I have been going to the park for 40+ years So yes I do remember the better times But right now as screwed up as this world is I am just happy to have a place to go and rrelax and enjoy my self be it alone or with my family
Sit back and think if you lived somewhere that didn't have a park like this that you can just decide to get up and go to.
You may realize how lucky we truly are

You're not wrong and we should probably all cheer up and go on our merry ways. The strange pivot from "Potentially one of the greatest roller coasters of all time" to "a roller coaster that exists" in a prime piece of real estate is just hard to have sink in if you've been following along with this for years. It WILL finish sinking in though.

I can safely say special entrances are very helpful. At magic mountain in October we walked up saw a massive mob of people at the gate then noticed a red carpet diamond pass entrance and walked right in. The red carpet was a nice touch. I felt very validated by Six Flags, so much so that I was tempted to purchase an item after that. I just felt a sudden urge to spend money inside the park.

(Hint hint wink wink Kyle or whoever reads this at KD)
Ditto with a special vehicle entrance to BGW that maybe Platinum members could utilize again.

Any reason I shouldn't buy one Unlimited and one Basic membership? Other than blackout dates? I expect those are when the park is expected to be the most crowded anyways, it seems most the additional benefits are only necessary for one person in a group (parking, discounts, etc).

Mixing passes like that is a popular strategy, I believe. As long as the person with the Basic membership won’t be going alone, there isn’t an obvious reason not to rely on just one Unlimited.

The only concerns you might have are with these two sets of benefits, which Basic doesn’t get:

So they're charging a $10 admin fee, do you know if that's recurring monthly or just a one-time thing when you first buy the passes? I don't want to pay an extra $110 for monthly payments!

Haven't bought a new one in ages sobI can't say 100% certainty but there use to be a 1 time $10 fee for setting up the payment plan I would guess that is what you are looking at.

I do a premier membership (before they had platinum) and my husband does unlimited. This works great for us because I go a few more times a year without him because of our work schedules. Plus I get preferred parking and we don’t have to worry about blackout dates.

There’s one issue I have with this.
You’re purchasing a membership. But the basic membership can’t even get access to member only events??????????? It’s not making sense. Like, I understand there aren’t as many benefits to a basic membership, but not getting access to a member only event is kinda shitty.

Interesting...

Definitely a child-friendly menu, though tbf if the nugs are fried or baked the right amount (assuming they're using Sysco nuggets) alongside a decent mac (no blue box), I bet a decent amount of parents would happily chow down.

Now which staffer drew the short straw to be the bunny?

One month, we received Quick Queues for LNM. I’m curious if this is our “members first” reward, or if there’s something else coming, like a members only weekend.

I just renewed my membership a little bit early as they were having a sale and it worked out that doing this would save me a little bit of money as I've always paid for my pass in full. But they charged me $12.99 for a "Service Fee" for the transaction. One thing they didn't do this year is give me a $20 discount on the renewal price or $20 in Busch Bucks like last year. I chalk it up to the fact that they were having a sale.
