So....does that mean they are finally doing away with the old Annual Passes? Are they automatically changing them to memberships and if so to what level? If so does that mean some people that have the very old $8-10 a month annual passes will go to paying what everyone else is finally? Or is this only for memberships that are purchased new starting now? So many questions.......

Doesn't look like they plan on getting rid of them:

Price Lock(after the first 12 months) hasnt been around since the first new membership system right? That isnt new?
That was my understanding at the time but even though I upgraded at the beginning of the membership program I have not seen the fee go up after my 12 months so I will be interested ti see if it suddenly does.

I noticed that it said the price lock is no longer in effect. After the first 12 months, EZpay will be 1/12 of whatever the current rate is.

This is correct. Under the previous membership your price was only guaranteed for the 12 month commitment. After that they said it might increase. The only difference is that they are now being clear that it will increase after 12 months.

And just like that BGW just rolled out another whole new membership plan......WTF?
?
I wouldn't call it a new membership plan, it's upgrading and changing the benefits for the current plans as well. They have tweaked benefits almost every year that they have had memberships.

Did they just permanently change Grandfathered Premier memberships to the current Platinum? The email I got makes it seem like that’s the case.

I have already done a screen print of the below, which is in the FAQ link Nicole posted -

The current Platinum includes all of the SeaWorld parks..?
The original Premier membership included all SeaWorld parks...

You misunderstood what I was saying. He said that if the grandfathered premier changed to the current platinum then he would’ve lost access to the other parks, which is what I was addressing.

The initial Premier membership is treated as a 2018-19 Platinum membership, for all intents and purposes, with the one exception being that we still get all SeaWorld parks.

Agreed they need to actually start pushing annual passholders off of their passes and on memberships.
Yup. It’s my biggest issue with BGW. They can change it all they like. Whatever. They’re a business. It’s their right and what they need to do.

I’m tired and pissed that they keep giving into this shit of people complaining. I’m tired of being fucked over because I wasn’t living here back when the EZ-Pay was $5 a month. I’m tired that I bought into a better pass and they let someone that bought less than me get the same perks. It’s such bullshit that they do that.
