The statement for BGW was something along the lines that you will get the number of months the park is closed added to your membership once the park opens up.
I would assume that only applies to months that the membership was actually paid for.

But I guess we will have to wait and see what the park actually does once they re-open.

Does anyone know what happens if you buy a new membership today? Let's say I pay in full for the year. Will that membership expire a year from today, or will it also be extended day-for-day until the park officially reopens?

I want to take my GF to Taste of BG next month, and am trying to decide whether to buy her a membership or just an event ticket.

I asked at guest services and was told without hesitation that there are no extensions or perks for new passes. It's full price. Of course, if they don't open normally next year, I think that would require compensation.

If you plan to go several times this year, it's still the best deal, but there are no promises and single day tickets get priority on reservations. I finally did it because the reservation calendar was stable enough to assure that they wouldn't disappear in 15 minutes, so I could process the membership.

I don't know about pay in full, but with monthly you have less risk, and you can extend it a partial year such through HoS or CT next year, which is the best deal.

Does anyone know if you get a basic membership now whether the blackout dates will apply to these special events.

I would guess no because it's a limited event.
That's the answer I got when I called, but I really prefer getting policies in writing, particularly since Christmas town time is loaded with blockout dates and it's unclear what the calendar schedule would be for any replacement event.

My guess is that will depend on what the event looks like. If the events are still capped at 1000 people then the blackouts wouldn't be applicable. If the cap is raised to 5000 then I would guess that they would classify that as the park is reopened. At that point I think it would depend on demand if they keep the blackout dates

Ok, so looking at them I have no ides what exactly changed. Looks like prices went up....understandable. But on the premier level I see annual photo key. Dont think that was there before. One thing that does stand oyt....2020 special event access. This leads me to believe they have no plans of a 2020 opening beyond these special events. So if this is true all those "upgrades" they offered for the rest of 2020.....what heppens to them. I feel like that was at least something in return for us keeping the park afloat by them using our money all season.

They're replaced "ride again" with a single-ride quick queue on the Platinum Tier, and extended the PhotoKey to both Unlimited and Premier, and changed the merchandise discounts to 30% for Premier and 50% for Platinum.

There's probably more. It's an inscrutable set of changes.

These poor customer service reps having to respond to these Facebook comments and explain what is a truly labyrinthian membership structure right now even before you throw in the Annual Pass side of things.

Ok, just got a email from the park. It states memberships will be "automatically upgraded to the nest 2021 benifir tier level".

It would be nice if they would show the upgraded tier on the account page, and for those of us not on EZ-Pay, show the new expiration date.
