The music of Mardi Gras:
Boogie Woogie All Nite Long - Beau Jocque & the Zydeco Hi-Rollers
Hey, Hey Mardi Gras - Big Al and the Heavyweights
Creole Mardi Gras - Pine Leaf Boys
My Feet Can’t Fail Me Now - The Dirty Dozen Brass Band

I thought someone previously said we’d be hearing the same five songs on repeat. Unfortunately my fact checking audit revealed only four songs. 🤣 Let me know if you go and hear a different one. These were general songs over the speaker system in the park, not during shows.

You might be right that there's only four songs. They may have had to cut one of the songs from rotation because of cost of the remodel to Squires and the bathrooms. Have find ways to save money any way you can.

I would like to see Busch Gardens utilize the area behind Lorikeet Glen for this event and for Food & Wine. You can consolidate the food stands to an area (similar to BGT) there's spots for hanging out and relaxing, and the Pet Shenanigans theater could be utilized for event specific entertainment.

I know several folks may be against it because you would lose that quiet spot in the park, but it's felt way under utilized ever since they removed the animals that were in that area close to where the Mexico food stand is and there's no longer a Pet Shenanigans. There's also a ton of logistical deficiencies/headaches that could be reduced by taking an approach like this.

Personally I don't find it that bad. It's energetic, but I don't notice it all that much. A few more songs would be welcome, and I'm sure plenty are worthy, but it doesn't ruin the event for me.

Doesn't seem as bad as hearing O Holy Night 10 times on repeat in Scotland during Christmas Town

Verbolten running yesterday. Rather oddly, usually or always stopping right after leaving the station, and crawling through all 3 in-course brake runs. Otherwise about the same though. 2 train ops! I heard DK will be 1 train through the event -- I think the wait is about twice the reported time. Yesterday was very light crowds, even compared to last Sunday which had worse weather.

Yeah, can confirm the above information. The ride is programmed a certain way to favor the first launch over the second. If a train is dispatched before the train ahead has dropped, you will hold on that block after the station for a moment while the drop sequence starts and then you will be sent into the building. The train ahead will not be launched out until the other one has launched in.

When the Saints go Marching in is also in the mix don't know who is preforming it.

Some general pictures of the decorations that are up for the event.

bolt was running 3, and the stopping outside of the station was bc ops were dispatching stupidly fast and the train ahead hadn’t hit the drop track yet
The extra delays from all the other brake runs being slow surely contributed -- unless that was also the dispatches. There didn't seem to be any extra delay after the drop track though, despite the "bridge" all but stopping you up there.

Had a quick 3.5 hour trip to BGW today.

1.) Mostly went to "activate" the preschool passes for our little ones.

2.) It was pretty DEAD.

3.) Walked in and went right to Carnival Imaginique. Thought it was pretty well done overall, our 3 and 5 year old really enjoyed it as well.

4.) Apollos was a walk-on, even with 1 train operations. Rode in the front row for the first time in a while, which was chilly.

5.) Used our "free" samples on the beignets and the passionfruit hurricane in New France. Both were nice.

6.) Overall, it was a nice trip.

7.) One slightly funny (or sad), or "did I just hear that?" moment came while my 5 year old was on the swings (2 back-to-back rides.) The first ride, the operator took a quick "DarKoaster vs. Verbolten" poll (via the ride sound system), obviously stating her love for Verbolten. The second ride, she simply asked those on the ride which coaster was their favorite in the park. She then exclaimed, "I am glad nobody voted for DarKoaster, it sucks". Wasn't even sure what to say / think, especially based on my own personal experiences / opinions. However, I am sure Busch Gardens wouldn't be very proud that their employee operating a ride literally ~1,000 feet away from DarKoaster is verbally "putting down" their newest attraction. Yikes...
