Given how shoestring the Christmas Town 2024 budget seems to be (based on the lack of new offerings), I can't say I'm at all disappointed that a new upcharge experience didn't syphon more money from the main event.
Agreed, I just hope that the new budgets trends don't justify future budgets with the thinking "Well it was fine with that budget last year" Type of thinking from Parks, but I wouldn't be surprised either. I will be voicing my opinions and feedback and I hope you all do as well.

Hopefully, by 2026 or earlier, we'll have some new shows and light displays. Polar Pathway: Spectacle of Lights from last year was a cool addition, but it was basically popular Christmas songs paired with LED displays I can do with my own curtain lights. Scrooge No More is an old classic, but I think something new should occupy the Globe at some point. Up on the Haustop is a good show for Festhaus and I like it a lot. I wish they would decorate the actual Festhaus building a little more instead of just having the Celebration at O'Tannenbaum light show outside.

As for good things, I'm glad they've kept their partnership with Rudolph & Friends and have continued with seasonal decor and menus for Bürgermeister's Hideaway. The ride selection is ok despite not having any of the Festa coasters or Griffon. I'm glad that they chose to keep Nessie open. It will be cool to see continued construction on Wolf's Revenge from the railway for the Christmas Town Express.

I hope they have some new merchandise exclusively for the event. As far as I'm concerned, I haven't seen much strictly Christmas Town merch in a while. I'd like to see the amount of effort they put in for HOS merch for Christmas Town. Have some new t-shirts or a snowman plush with an embroidered BGW logo on it! Anything!

Feel free to reply and express your thoughts whether they be different or similar!

The employee manning the rope is suggesting guests run to Pantheon on rope drop. Almost wish I had time to run over and see reaction but I am off for the first Christmas Town express to see Wolf's status.

Verbolten is also the only closed coaster in the park according to the guy. Scary thing is I know this isn't his first Christmas Town.

Pantheons open....?

Oh was the comment about rop drop to pantheon sarcasm lol
Staff were actually genuinely suggesting guests head straight to it with seemingly no knowledge that it is closed for the event. I would have been really curious to see how that went down when they got there to find it blocked off and closed.

Ohhhhh ok I follow now. If pantheon was open id be heading there right now LOL

Maybe its just me, but the park definitely felt a bit more sparse than it usually does. I'm hoping that's just opening weekend issues and they'll add more lights in the coming weeks.

Scrooge and Gloria are still great. No Twas That Night though. I really wanted to see that. Haven't seen the Festhaus or Italy show yet.

InvadR was having constant issues when I was in the area.

Alpengeist and Verbolten were both down, but Tempesto was running! I planned to ride Darkoaster too but the line for that looked pretty long. I ended up getting 2 rides on Loch Ness and 2 rides on Tempesto. Rhine River was also closed. I think they're still adding trees and lights along the river because that area felt unusually dark for Christmas Town.

InvadR's entrance has a snow cannon sitting over it. I noticed there were more snow cannons than usual around the park. Its a neat little touch.

The park wasn't too crowded for opening night. I'll be back again for the pin trading event.

Park definitely felt more sparse then in past years. Not sure how much they will add but I want to add that we also had a fairly decent amount of rain and that killed some lights that are there including most the valley lights.

The boats were running a few times for team training and not guests. I had not noticed how bright the head light on those things are that coupled with the lake ripples after they pass taking forever to settle down really feels like hurts the ominous of the peace on earth sign.
