Does anyone know if new Nessie has a minimum operating temperature? As far as I remember Arrows didn't have any
It does not. However, it will close at 40 degrees like the rest of the rides unless it needs to be closed at a higher temp.

Even though the shows may be getting stale, at least BGW has multiple full production shows in sit down and indoor venues. Compared to the low quality (the shows not the performers) live entertainment at Cedar fair Winterfest at makeshift stages with no seating. Those shows are truly stale.

Christmastowns lights are lackluster and Winterfest really makes that flaw show. They need lights up in the mature trees instead of the dinky live Pines. The two things that are better about Christmas town than Winterfest is the live entertainment, and the family transportation rides.

I do think that all shows should be freshened up occasionally. The 23 version of Gloria was a downgrade with the mini orchestra.

I wish they would bring Mirackes back. That was a show that was improved each season then it was dropped after its best version.

Forgive me if this has been posted, but I was told by a reliable source that BGW is considering an event using the Rhine River boats and/or dock for Christmastown. They wouldn't give any details and said it may not be ready in time, but something to keep an eye on. I was surprised to hear this since I don't believe the boats have ever run in the winter.

I forget where I heard this, but iirc the rhine boats cannot operate under 50 degrees due to an issue with the batteries. Can anyone confirm/deny this?

That was my understanding too. If the rollercoasters can't go at 40 degrees, I highly doubt the boats could. He specifically said an event though so I am wondering if it is something stationary. I guess we will see if it comes to fruition.

I just hope the Polar Pathway show is better this year, and they fix the way they RUINED O' Tannenbaum. As long as those two are at least somewhat better, I'll consider this event a win. Now, don't get me wrong, they're still okay, and the normal nighttime ambiance of Polar Pathway was better than ever, but O' Tannenbaum has become mediocre lighting-wise, and the Polar Pathway show is downright bad. Those two things are what they need to be focusing on.

Glad to hear. The coaster line up looks good compared to Winterfest which usually only has Twisted Timbers and Dominator open (unless that changes this year). I also loved looking at the lights from the train and skyride too. It was one of the better memories I had during my last visit for Christmas Town.

^^-- any evidence Alpengeist will be only weekends OTHER than that's what they were doing? Skyride down any part of CT sounds like a complete fail.

Anyway, no Christmas miracle this year (Pantheon).
