Went Monday. Tempesto was closed. Actually checked, don't trust the board out front, it said about the same my last HoS visit but most opened that time. Best I can tell from queue-times its only been running weekends, maybe this means that Alpengeist will still be weekends only if they get it running. Nessie opened late, it and Invadr 1 train. Verbolten and DK running normally.

I did get some compensation, website showed this month's benefit to be $10 Busch Bucks but kiosk showed Free Entree instead, which in this case means a meal not just a protein. For some reason the voucher had no barcode so the undercooked fries were cold by the time I could get it "paid" for. The smoked chicken wasn't as amazing as it can be but was still good.
 
Yaay I'm glad the park actually has the nicer Sea World style ornaments now! I'd noticed the old ornaments started feeling cheaper and cheaper. I get BGT did a seed ornament a few years ago and last year's was supposed to be similar but I still can't help but feel the quality went downhill. Its nice to see glass ornaments again!
 
Went to Christmas Town today. At rope drop at 2 we went straight to Tweedside Shop to get our 50 anniversary pin. They had already run out and don't know if there will be more. The vouchers is good until Dec 31. Guess we'll check at some point to see if they get more.
Just pulling numbers off the top of my head but for conversation sake let's say there are 20K season pass holders. To run out of pins in something like 6 days they must have had maybe 500 to hand out. Typical mismanagement for BGW these days.

I also went yesterday, it was also INSANELY CROWDED and I wouldn't have been surprised if they had hit capacity or close to it. When I went to Tweedside to ask for the 50th Anniv pin, they were already sold out, but the cashier offered me the broken one on display because I had a rare variety of pins on my lanyard! I almost took him up on the offer too 😂!

Yeah, that was a bummer. I hope they have some more on the way.

I still took advantage of the Back Porch Sale at Tweedside. $8 for nine items is a steal!
 
Was the park really that bad? I went saturday and all the lots were filled almost at 5 and i have no idea if it went to overflow. But as busy as I thought it looked, it really didn't feel that bad. Yes lot of people but there was no lines for anything. Granted it was alot colder. HOS crowd feels more jammed imo

Speaking of saturday, whoever told me in tweedside I dont have to wait in the main line to grab the pin thanks. (I have a weird feeling like theyre in here)

We were there Saturday. Went to Tweedside maybe around 1 but ended up going through the sale stuff first. By the time we were ready to checkout, we asked about the pins and the lady said she had just given out the last one. We ended up circling back a couple hours later and they had another full shoebox-sized plastic container so we got our pins. I expected Saturday to be more crowded but I'm guessing people looked at Sunday's forecast and decided that would be a better day
