The last version of it was gorgeous.

I just don’t see them increasing the number of performers from last year. Celtic Fyre has something like 19-20 performers. The orchestra alone had that many……

I think Onto Us had about 11 or 13.

Unless they are going to leave Teatro empty. Which is a real possibility…..given that Abbey Stone sits empty at Holloween.

This won’t happen, but ideally Gloria would be great outdoors (Onto Us worked well there) since there is no dancing and something like Miracles indoors at Abbey Stone.
Gloria is definitely in Abby Stone and it has a small band 100% confirmed by reliable sourcing.

Look for small new show at Teatro for Christmas Town.

As I leaked earlier today and the park subsequently confirmed this afternoon, Wisemen is the new, small-scale San Marco show.

Since a vocal trio isn't close to a full, theatrical production, the Unto Us -> Wisemen change alone represents a significant decrease in stage show investment for Christmas Town 2023.

I agree. But, I do think that having all Christmas Town-specific shows is an improvement over one of the main stage shows being a minimally changed main season show (Celtic Fyre). That felt a bit lazy and made CT feel less special.

I agree with that too 😁

So I see this as a downgrade overall from last year. Gloria is about equal to Celtic Fyre production-wise. Teatro show sounds like a downgrade from Onto Us.
It's important to remember that Gloria requires a decent amount more behind the scenes staff then Celtic Fyre so a simple actor count is not a full count as to the production. Also we should be careful judging the quality of a show simply by how many people are in it. For example I always thought Bel Concertino was better then Mix it up.

I wasn’t sure if someone had asked or if it had been posted somewhere, but does anyone have a list in regards to the coaster lineup for CT this year?

Celtic Fyre (as much as I disliked it a Christmas) and Onto Us were complete shows. While Onto Us was a discounted version of Gloria (soundtrack), it felt like a journey through the music.

If this new show is similar in production to Bel Concertino in production, that would put it at the level of the Cedar Fair Winterfest sideshows IMO. A few vocalists singing songs.

Ever since Miracles was discontinued Teatro was a downgrade. That show was very visual. Onto Us was the best replacement so far although it was far from being as visual.

It just seems that step-by-step, year-by-year the entertainment is downgraded

Darkoaster, Griffon, Alpengeist and Invadr will be open on member appreciation weekend. I'm guessing maybe the same (except for Griffon), for Christmas town? That's just my guess though. In past years it's been verbolten, invadr, and Apollo. Nothings been officially announced yet though

I know for a fact that DarKoaster, Pantheon, and Alpengeist, and Verbolten will be running for Christmas Town this year. InvadR most likely will, and Apollo will not be running.

That's good, it got tiring riding Apollo's chariot nonstop for 2 months...

I’m glad they’re keeping DarKoaster and Alpengeist open for CT. It makes a lot of sense to keep their snow-themed coasters open, but if I remember correctly, Alpengeist usually isn’t on the CT coaster lineup.

FYI. The BGW website and app have been updated to include Christmas Town and the offerings. They have also listed a new show with new songs for O'Tannenbaum. Good to see "new" being advertised, hopefully it makes a difference. Too bad the food be subpar at best 🙁

Have they always had the Quick Queue for the Skyride for Christmas Town?

The ad copy almost makes it seem like it's only for one leg of the circuit as well.

Yeah. It's basically an upcharge-only Flight of Lights. Hope it's not popular because it has the potential to make lines for the Skyride WAY worse than they already are for people just trying to use the only transport ride available during Christmas Town...
