I sure hope the rumors are true. Celtic Fyre Christmas is good, just not as exciting as the regular Celtic Fyre
Celtic Fyre Christmas is about the laziest attempt at a Christmas show the park could attempt. Regurgitate a 14ish year worn out show.
I may be feeding the troll here, but do you have any actual constructive feedback or are you only intending to project doom and gloom on every post you make?
As far as I can tell most people generally enjoy this show, though may prefer Gloria in the Abbey Stone Theatre if given the option. That doesn't make it bad though.

Replacing a great show with garbage isn't an improvement.
I agree that most shows shouldn't be around forever, but whenever BGW has tried to create something new lately, it hasn't gone well. I'd rather great, older shows stick around until there's a desire and budget to produce something equally as good rather than to see entertainment at the park completely die. And yes, in my opinion, Celtic Fyre is very much the only thing keeping it on life support during the main season right now.

That’s sad they aren’t capable of producing something new for the talent.
Putting the same show as summer (I know they changed the bar songs ) at Christmastown was just insulting.
CF is far from perfect. The bar sings could be replaced with songs that showcase vocal talent

The Rockette’s Christmas Spectacular has been the same choreography for 90 years…since it started, and people still love it. Sometimes you don’t mess with a great thing.
I’m against the incessant troll-like negativity from some of the users here, but I sort of agree with the sentiment that Celtic Fyre Christmas Celebration was lazy. Don’t get me wrong, I love Celtic Fyre, so it wasn’t the worst thing in the world to watch it during Christmas Town. But man, they literally did the bare minimum to the show to even justify the “Christmas Celebration” subtitle. I think the entire extent of the changes was a Christmas tree and some garland on the stage, two Christmas folk songs in place of the normal bar songs (a nice touch), and the “Christmas in Killarney” encore at the end (which was great). But that’s it. It was to Christmas shows what Die Hard is to Christmas movies.
They could’ve just made a few more tiny changes to at least make it seem like they tried to make it different from the main season show. Drop in a few throw-away lines or jokes about it being the holidays. Have the innkeeper drop wrapped Christmas presents instead of the normal bare cardboard boxes during the preshow. Change the American tap dance music to a jazzy rendition of “Jingle Bells” or something. Give the characters some winter costumes, even just scarves and coats and hats to take off when they enter during “Streets of Dublin.” Anything. But we got the bare minimum.
And that’s fine. Celtic Fyre is a great show. And so if the show during Christmas Town was 99% just Celtic Fyre, that’s fine. But that’s what the main season is for. I definitely am happy to hear the rumor that Gloria is coming back. It’s not a perfect show, but at least we know it’s a solid show (something the park doesn’t seem capable of producing anymore), and at least it’s, you know, a Christmas show.

I’ve kinda always had mixed feelings about CF:CC. On one hand, CF (IMO) is a great park show and the talent they always get for it is awesome. More CF in my life is something I will never complain about.
On the other hand I agree with the not Christmas-y enough feel. It’s a simple overlay.
But I think this displays the hamstring nature SEAS has put on its parks. Ent budgets cut, so you need to go for the “easy wins” of you got a good show, what’s a re-write you can do where production doesn’t change massively.
Personally I think a Scrooge like turn on CF could be a good twist on the production. Or a “Wonderful Life” like twist.
Mostly the cut in production investment saddens me. They can’t go to a creative house and get a better twist on CF to make CF:CC something better.

What's that supposed to mean? It's not Christmas until either Hans falls off the tower or the bad guy's airplane explodes (preferably both happen for an extra festive holiday).
Celtic Fyre should stick around as a legacy show forever. It’s as important to the park at this point as Loch Ness is to the park IMO. People will come back for it and it continues to pack a crowd.
Parents are already taking their 10 year olds to see the same show that they saw before they had kids. It’s a tradition.

Has anyone else notice the lack of fraiser fur smell in the park the last couple years? To me it took away from the atmosphere. Not having half the lights working and what seemed less, didn't help either.

Kevin was asked about Christmas Town and said to expect changes. He said a formal announcement was planned for October 20th so mark your calendars.
It's not an official park name for it and there are reasons for it that I won't get into here. No I don't know what it us but I do know stuff related but again I am not going to talk about that other then to say if you know the whole story it's not as dumb as you might think.
Nice to hear! I love this event, but I feel it's stagnating. I'd love to see new lights, a replacement to the incredibly outdated lights show in octoberfest and bring back the penguins!!!!!
He specifically said to expect changes to both the lights and the shows. He also said there would be a big announcement for the 25th.
