A boat ride would be fantastic at this park! Wonder what areas of the park they are eyeing for this. I think either Australia or by Serengeti Flyer. I would love for this to be an indoor attraction, but seems more likely it would at least be mostly outdoors.

This park doesn’t need anymore coasters before adding other attractions like slow moving family rides, dark rides or even flat rides.

I wonder who they are surveying. If they just survey the current customers, they are just going to get more of the same. They need to survey people who aren’t coming to the park.

You can never have enough coasters.

But yeah, they should really add like a dark ride or something before the Giga tbh

1000% BGT needs that boat ride before it needs any new coasters. The lineup of family rides at this park is abysmal at this point, and a spiritual successor to Rhino Rally would be something iconic and unique that everyone can ride. Outside of the enthusiast community, I can't really imagine a giga coaster getting a whole lot of attention, not when this park is already oversaturated with big roller coasters.

I feel both will happen. Just a matter of when.

Entire employee parking lot near the Serengeti just got bulldozed 👀👀👀👀

Looking at satellite photos... they haven't used it as employee parking in a few years since expanding kumba... it has been used for staging / graveyard for a few years though.... Id hope they are moving some back of house stuff to a new facility to reclaim those areas for new in park... they have the airstrip that could be prime for a warehouse or two... maybe move HR there... then move the animal facilities over the old HR / marketing buildings... turning their current land over the park...

Being that BGT is my closest park I would love something other than a roller coaster. I grew up going to Carowinds. One thing that they do great is they have a ton of other flat rides to balance the coasters. That way it's enjoyable for an entire family. Being that I have 4 kids I enjoy being able to split up and have something for the entire family to be occupied. BGT lacks that completely. They removed some of the few rides my smaller kids could ride for Pheonix Rising. The kids section is a tucked away area. Having a ride with a smaller height limit would be great. On a recent trip to BGW I really loved how the kids rides were spread out in each area. That way all members of the family had something to do in a close area. I will say BGT has a horrible flow for a theme park. I think each area could be built up better. Maybe instead of a huge single giant ride the park should focus on minimal additions that makes each section better. If it comes down to one thing I am 100% team boat ride, but the park really needs to spend some time on building up each area of the park better especially since the Florida theme park marker is getting more competitive.

They own an airstrip??

I'm team boat ride for BGT, if that means we can get a reimagined Escape From Pompeii over at BGW out of it.
Why not both at times that make sense capital investment wise? I don’t think it’s meant to be a “this or that” survey more “does this attraction idea interest you?”

I honestly feel both will be added to the park eventually. Just a matter of what they decide to do first

I don’t see them EVER building a boat ride— not marketable, high maintenance, not something they can do well.
