Yes, but that would also mean restrooms would be shut off as well, yet they are still operational. But still interesting.

Ok- sad news... found out the statues of Italy's San Marco Theater and Neptune Fountain were destroyed.. jack hammered right out of there.

Let us take a moment of silence to morn the loss.

...

...

Why they could not be removed and placed in the land of tractors and sundials (since they were made specifically for BGW is beyond me)

Excuse me while I weep.

Mid-day boredom struck so I decided to go on Google Earth, and go into street view. Street view is currently set at 2009! And oh my goodness, I've never noticed how far we've fallen.:( Our park used to be magnificent! It used to be beautiful, what it is now is nothing like it used to be. Shrubbery has been reduced everywhere, and the European theme is much more lessly emphasized. I thought we were still good, or like we used to be, but that is completely false. You really should go on Google Earth and go into street view at BG. Even through a computer screen it still is magical, & magnificent, not so much mediocre like it is today.

Two of these have been added to the sitting area across from Rhinefeld's entry archway. I think they look absolutely horrendous.

Okay, is this thing going to turn into the Purple Thing of Christmas Town? I see Zachary going crazy with the "Thanks" button already... :p

All kidding aside, I'm sure someone thought that this looked wonderful, but that is seriously the kind of thing I usually dispose of when I'm done with any holiday greenery projects I have. Just needs to be pushed down with your foot to fit a little more in the can.

I'm just glad everyone else didn't think the thing was some grand artistic accomplishment and I just had undiscerning tastes. :p

In all seriousness though, that thing is horrendously, atrosiously, ugly. That is a crime against shrubbery-kind!

I would laugh at that if it were at Kings Dominion!

UPDATE!!

Before I forget, they seemed to have fixed the ice supply problem in Festa. It was very simple from what I understand; wait until frigid temperatures come to Williamsburg. Then set water out until it freezes into cubes. But, it's so darn cold either ice is unneeded or unwanted cause people now want hot cocoa.

I've noticed this forever now, but thought I would bring it up.

Has anyone else noticed the extreme lack of crazy hats at Felt & Feather. The past couple of years there has been an extreme decrease in the craziness of the crazy hats. I would always buy a hat from there when I could, but now, they're just boring and not worth the money. I used to have hats that moved to music, blinked, clapped, and anything else you could think of. But sadly that was a long time ago, now I barely go near the hat stand outside anymore, because nothing draws me to it. And I'm telling you, those were probably the best selling items in the park at a time. Another sad thing is that I only have one left that I got in 2007. 2009 was the last year I got one, and I've never wanted to buy one since.:(

Question to ask.

Have all the knobs on the faux drawer wall in the office portion of Verbolten's que line been removed by someone [ie vandals] or were there none to begin with. Last time through just a bunch of bare screws where they looked like they should be. Haven't had time to look back through pics to see if they were there to begin with.

Thanks in advance for any answers.

Unfortunately, the General Public like to ruin nice things and the park gets sick of/has a hard time keeping up with replacing things like that.

Things like this get on my nerves. People should leave things alone. Im sure someone thought it was hilarious and has a nice collection of those knobs at there house.

Matthew~ This is just speculation, but I have a theory of the reduction of hats.

Banbury Cross is going to be featuring London Rocks next year. If the line of merchandise changes - they may not want to have overstock on last year's hats. It could be they were selling the last of the stock to prepare for next year.
