He is backView attachment 25368The elf sawing the candy cane is gone.![]()
Not last night. I heard kids climbing on him damaged the arm and that it had been sitting oddly. my guess is they couldn't fix the actual mechanism for it but we're able to fix it enough for it to look decent.Does he work though?
I mean next year is only 24 days away so given supply chain issues and a busy holiday season that doesn't exactly seem unreasonableDifferent subject so I'm posting this separately. We upgraded our passes a few months back. Checked with GS to pay to have the card stock passes converted to plastic passes and were told the machine was broken. Checked again today and now they are saying they hope to have it fixed by "next year"!
The rails going up the ramp into Oktoberfest, definitely have been replaced, I saw squared off railings (as opposed to round) that were still silver, now painted over black, about 2 weeks ago. They were actually working on it toward the end of October. I assume they stopped for Christmas Town especially not that they are open every day but as far as I know work will resume on it.
They had scaffolding up along parts of the bridge that are over land back toward the end of October and looked to be doing major work. The rails going up the ramp into Oktoberfest, definitely have been replaced, I saw squared off railings (as opposed to round) that were still silver, now painted over black, about 2 weeks ago.
Expect it to be closed throughout January and February as the park is planning extensive work to be done on it during that time. They were actually working on it toward the end of October. They still are cleaned every morning. But during this time of year it's pretty difficult to keep leaves off the paths. Sunday I raked my lawn in the morning and then by dinner it didn't look like I had done it.Leaves and crushed leaves from trampling all over the walking paths. All paths use to have leaves removed everyday.
I was told to expect a complete replacementExpect it to be closed throughout January and February as the park is planning extensive work to be done on it during that time.
And hopefully the path on the bridge will be redone… you can see the joints of the bridge in spots. The entire bridge won't be replaced, but there will be significant work done to the supports.
Is it enough of an aesthetic issue to use artificial trees in most areas to avoid such issues?the tree issue could just be something having to do with the fact that fewer were available this year so they might simply have been lower quality compared to what they could get thier hands on previously.
