Different subject so I'm posting this separately. We upgraded our passes a few months back. Checked with GS to pay to have the card stock passes converted to plastic passes and were told the machine was broken. Checked again today and now they are saying they hope to have it fixed by "next year"!

I mean next year is only 24 days away so given supply chain issues and a busy holiday season that doesn't exactly seem unreasonable

They were actually working on it toward the end of October. I assume they stopped for Christmas Town especially not that they are open every day but as far as I know work will resume on it.
The rails going up the ramp into Oktoberfest, definitely have been replaced, I saw squared off railings (as opposed to round) that were still silver, now painted over black, about 2 weeks ago.

They had scaffolding up along parts of the bridge that are over land back toward the end of October and looked to be doing major work.

The entire bridge won't be replaced, but there will be significant work done to the supports.
And hopefully the path on the bridge will be redone… you can see the joints of the bridge in spots.

Friday I was really disappointed with the park in that a lot of the Xmas trees for CT were turning brown (see pic) or were most of they way there. They really looked unsightly in the day. I guess BGW wanted to keep their water bill down by not watering them and hoping mother nature would do it. The other pic shows that they put some reflective tape on the poles (don't remember it being on them) they put in on either end of the bridge from Pompeii to San Marco. I guess a few people must have run into them.

the tree issue could just be something having to do with the fact that fewer were available this year so they might simply have been lower quality compared to what they could get thier hands on previously.
Is it enough of an aesthetic issue to use artificial trees in most areas to avoid such issues?
