Traditionally at BGW they have provided a show schedule for these shows. Unsure why they haven't for CC unless it has something to do with them not distributing park maps. Even then I would expect it to be on the app, which in fairness I haven't checked once.
I just checked the app and they have the show schedule under “Hours and Showtimes.” Once you select an eligible date a simple chart comes up with the opening, closing, and show times. While I always prefer a paper map, maybe they’re trying to limit the amount of people making contact with the England map stand. Either that, or they just didn’t have time to prepare.

I did also have to forcefully tell the people behind me for Verbolten to find their mark, and could see how easily the system breaks down if people are either unwilling/uncomfortable correcting behavior and/or the people in question are belligerent/dismissive about it or, as they were in this case, quiet in their acquiescence.

This reminds me of something I thought of back when I was visiting Hershey: the parks should find a way to "normalize" asking people to give you space. I'm a very extroverted person, and even I have felt a little uncomfortable about asking people to back up, so I think destigmatizing that behavior would go a long way. Maybe if they just put up signs all around the queues saying something like, "If the guest behind you is standing within 6 feet of you, we encourage you to politely ask them to leave more space" or something like that, it would tell people it's okay to ask for more space and take away some of the stigma.

Wow that’s quite a hike from prior years. Maybe it’s a sign from the ghost of Christmas future.

So apparently Busch is open on Christmas Day this year... I’m not sure that this is the greatest idea

I bet they sell out. Not much else to do. Its just sad the employees have to work. Should offer them a special holiday pay to work that day
Yeah it’s a bad move on the park for making the employees work on Christmas Day when they haven’t done that in the past. I bet you the amount of no shows/call outs would be very high that day

I don't think it's a bad move to open on Christmas day. Honestly beyond shocked they haven't yet. For a lot of people Christmas really only means doing something for the morning, after that they are done for the day.

I'd also be shocked if they didn't do something for the employees that have to work that day. A few years ago they were planning on a Christmas opening and were going to do something, but scrapped it.

Also, something to remember is that pretty much every other SEAS park is open on Christmas day.

Note that they’ve also added some additional options ticket wise for December: there’s both a Christmas Celebration Fun Card for multiple visits and a “Friends and Family” ticket for members that members can buy to get any session down to $45. They have advertised the existence of neither of these, so far at least.

Ah trying to boost sales. I wonder if this is another way of increasing attendance for the early sessions

I don’t think that $45 ticket is much of a discount on early sessions if any. It may drive some evening sales though. The early sessions are simply overpriced and need a greater discount to get people out to.

Is Griffon closed for the remainder of the event? I'll be going to a night session in a week or so, just wondering if there's any chance of it being open.

Was never open during night sessions to begin with, so no chance of that. And with temperatures dropping, I doubt they’ll open for daytime sessions either, especially as holiday gets closer and they don’t need additional draws as much.

When I visited last weekend, Verbolten was down for the night, so they opened Griffon instead. It was an unexpected surprise and I thought it was great customer service - they easily could've just said "tough luck" and operated the event with only two coasters.
