I'm gonna give my two cents about the fights/scare actor assaults: I believe they're caused by a mixture of alcohol, adrenalin and girls. Picture this: You're out with a gorgeous girl at Busch Gardens, so you decide to get a drink. Night falls and you're borderline hammered. Someone comes up and scares you, and you, of course, wanna look cool, so you deliver the meanest left hook of your life to impress a girl.

On the other hand, people are just mean, so that's a factor, too. One thing to note, though: I did like the increased presence of security Friday night. Everywhere you looked, you saw a security guard, no exaggeration. Love that they're taking health and safety more seriously.

I have seen similar reports a few different places as well as from people in themselves. The best infonI have seen points to either a fire arm being pulled in the parking lot or something that wad mistaken as one during a fight. Every thing I have heard say it came from a car and was not carried into the park itself.

How did something you could stab with get into the park?
I was looking at comments on the FB group and one person said they hide them inside metal waterbottles and another said that some are able to sneak knives in hidden in the waist band of their pants.

It's time to xray bags, look in water bottles and institute a chaperone requirement. I loved this event, but there is no way I will drive 6+ hours for this.

Going to airport level security will slow things down greatly. Only allowing clear bags/bottles is probably the best that can be done screening wise.

Well this can be solved quickly:
Chaperone policy
Clear Water bottles only
Clear bags of a certain size only (a la NFL stadiums)
Metal detectors set pretty sensitive.

I was just at Wells Fargo Ctr in Philly for 2 Pearl Jam shows. The FAQ said there are specific bag entrances where they will xray bags. I did have a clear bag with me so I don't know if that was actually done.

But yes, I agree, clear bags / bottles are the way to go.
