I love Bold Rock's cider, but it's a cider made from apples, not an IPA, which is a beer (India Pale Ale).

Bold Rock cider is an IPA style cider. Not sure what that means by definition, but it is marketed as IPA.

It stands for India Pressed Apple instead of India Pale Ale. Basically it is slightly more hopped than their other ciders, but isn't anything close to an IPA Beer.

Alrighty then. I haven't heard of their cider IPA. Normal cider does not have hops. It's fermented apples. So, it looks like they're playing off the IPA beer name to make it known that this cider has hops. It's totally a unique thing. I'm not a hops guy so it sounds like they ruined a good thing to me.
. But, I'd still give it a try.

I'm not a hops guy either. Frankly, can't stand IPAs. But the India Pressed Apple fixes the bitterness normally associated with hops by adding the sweetness of the cider. Give it a try, it's fantastic!

My preferences are dry English cider (Magners, Strongbow), lagers, and Hefeweizen.

Yes I think it will remain as it's hugely popular with everyone I know (except me). I vastly prefer the cafe (and the sweet tea vodka that used to be served there and elsewhere) but then I'm bitter... Also some of the employees there are cool about bringing in food from the Festhaus while others will tell you to GTFO. One young woman came over and talked to the people I was with about the beer and how the flights should be consumed right to left/weak to strong and I sat there with a bottle of wine from Italy. The next day we came in with just some fries and a man told us to go eat it in the atrium. It makes sense but still. Piss off.
