You know with the amount of breweries on that list and the options of food next door I'm betting you the area will be themed around Valhalla, though they are missing the endless fighting and sex.

Anyone have any idea the prices for that or the logistics. My mom recently passed away and I read about this and since the Fest Haus was like her favorite place ever I was thinking may be getting one of the steins and have it hung up on the wall for the year as a memorial to her.

I believe I have a new dream job: travel to breweries, taste, and select brews for the park! I could not be happier for the new use of the Festhaus' "quiet" space. As a coffee shop it felt like an almost hidden secret space to get away from lines of people, spread out, and catch up with friends. The back corner location may be a bit of a challenge for the park; I am curious to see how they market it. I am also curious about pricing. Gone are the days where I automatically order a beer to cool down on a hot day. At $8 - 9 it is a costly proposition (especially for an aluminum bottle of domestic brew). Taphouses I have visited in the US tend to have a variety of prices ranging from $4 to $12 depending on the beer. Will the Brauhaus have a single price matching the park's other venues?

I guess so. The only reason I ask is because a former BGT employee whom I know, just had their first beer since working for the park. I thought that was odd. I also thought Carl Lum told me that they have a strict policy about drinking on the job.
Then again, I could have sworn I saw an Irish dancer drinking a Guinness during their longest show break years ago.

As a former BEC employee I can tell you because of the ABC laws and going through the TIPS training. It was absolutely against BEC policies to drink on the job for obvious reasons being apart of AB. I highly doubt with the way VA ABC laws are much has changed other then at the brewery based on it being apart of your job functions as a brew master.

My understanding is that the $40 gets you the stein, which you keep at the end of the season, a free refill, and $5 beers after that.
