Thanks, Matthew. Will that get me in any so-called "trouble" on Youtube (i.e. spam) for doing that, though? If not, I wouldn't mind doing so. I encourage everyone else to try and debunk the mindless PETA worshipers by commenting on the video as well. There is power in numbers!

I think spamming would only be when you post it a million times in a row to get attention. I don't think it's spamming when you are reposting after a mod. has deleted it.

I've tried to stay out of the debate, but after viewing some of the responses to SeaWorld's post on twitter yesterday about their Christmas Celebration, I realized just how hypocritical many of the Blackfish supporters are.

How articulate they are in their criticisms. I see now that I was wrong to believe that they are mindlessly jumping on a bandwagon, before thoroughly researching the facts.

BTW, this sort of tactic is nothing new for PETA. Just ask the the Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center.

Apparently a ton of people watched this over Xmas break as it was brought up in TWO classes today. Some observations being that I was basically the only one out of the people who had watched the doc saying I don't take anything it says seriously. Of course animal cruelty is a bad thing but I do hate how quickly people latch onto the idea that the newest propaganda film thats out, people can curse Mcdonalds for unhealthy food just as they can curse Seaworld( Or any other Zoo/Aquarium) that keeping animals in captivity is wrong, but why scold others for supporting seaworld?

Am I making any sense here? All I'm trying to put out is the fact that none of these films really give you inside to the story, they just cause uproar, basically their intention.

PETA recently created a picture and displayed it on their site, SeaWorldofHurt.com. It is an aerial picture of Shamu Stadium with supposedly "Tilikum" in a rather small tank. The picture claims that the whale can touch both walls with his nose and tail. Personally I think the photo is photoshopped.

If you do go to google maps, you'll notice PETA cropped the image in such a way that it cuts out the larger tank directly above it (the tank is drained on google, but you can see it filled on bing). It also doesn't make clear that this in fact is a transfer tank between three other tanks (the one above it, the one to the left of it where you can see two other whales, and the one under the canopy below it.) The whale was likely in that tank for a matter of minutes while being moved from one area to another.

But hey, we've already established that things like facts don't matter to a radical organization like PETA, right? Too bad many of their followers will drink the Kool-Aid.

I thought there was a specific thread about the concerts at SWO, but I guess I will post this here.

I'm not sure if this was the plan before the mass concert cancellations; however, their website is currently advertising 6 weekends of top artists in classic rock and country music, along with local bands, and a DJ. Was the local bands and DJ added recently, or where those part of the original event plans?

Just another interesting article from someone who was in the film.

Speaking of which I looked on SeaWorld's Instagram, and you would not believe the type of things these people say. Half of them saying a curse word with SeaWorld after them, another bunch just say that the people at SeaWorld should die, or all together should go to H***. And then the rest of them say "freetilly" not one did I see making a legitimate argument. It's disgusting the way these people try to get SeaWorld to stop what they're doing. It just shows you the type of people these are though.

This is really not good, people are actually starting to catch on to the connection between Busch Gardens and SeaWorld.

It's really not that hard I told you all, there are a lot of connections made between them, it's only a matter of paying attention to them. These people may believe dumb things, but that doesn't mean their stupid. Plus it only takes one of them to figure it out before they tell the whole group of them.

I honestly don't think so, the bands don't want anything, obviously, to do with this. So most likely not.

Well if they are pressured into backing out, I'd think they could be pressured back in, that is if there is an even amount of both sides trying to pressure them.

Once they're out, I don't think they want to be pressured to come back in, that would just make them more frustrated with us, and we don't really need that. And it's condescending to play their game against them, it'll just make us look like copy cats, but if you want to you can try.

Did you guys see that because of this Pat Benetar and Her Husband and the Beach Boys backed out of the Bands Brew and BBQ at BGT? those are the two bands to back out from the backlash of this stupid documentary.

I am not saying go full force blow up their Facebook and go off crying for them to do their concerts. I'm saying present the facts. point out the flaws of Blackfish. They won't be pressured to do anything, they are more or less just being educated and know the facts.
