Now all I can imagine is the old days of bagpipe music as I exit the park night......only to the Mexican hat dance.....

Remember when the shop in Scotland had a tub of bagpipe cassette tapes for sale? IIRC, they still sold them as late as '93.

I find most (not all) Mexican music far more pleasing to the ear than cats dying a slow death bagpipes.

Except the "I'll call it fictional until i see pics" taco bar that they advertised to start this thread

This is an excellent point.

At this point nobody has seen an operating taco bar at BGW.

If it doesn't happen this weekend; I don't imagine it'll happen for a while. I don't see them bringing this out during food and wine... Because why would they. Unless they did it midweek?

I saw a string of Mexican party flag things in the back corner of Das Festhaus. No sign of any taco bar though

A mysterious sign for a taco bar that doesn't exist, random Mexican flags in Das Festhaus... Is this some sort of elaborate trolling attempt by BGW?

Brilliant!!! That way they can include practically all of Central and South America, plus most of the Caribbean. Basically theme any part of the land Hispanic and then you don't have to worry about those pesky differences between countries.

So did anyone try the taco bar? If so, how was it? Is it still being offered on weekends?

Nobody has seen an up and running taco bar yet.

We saw a sign for one, but it has not yet materialized.

There was never a Taco Bar. I asked at guest relations and they mabe a phone call to someone in culinary. It was told to me there was never a taco bar, and no plans to do a taco bar those days. So my question was who came up with a price, made a sign and placed in out in the park.

It's my understanding from talking to my sources that this is only something that occurs days where there are a large amount of groups and only got a short time period in an effort to relieve pressure at the main restaurants.

Must have been really short as we checked the Black Forest a few times between lunch and mid afternoon and no one was back there. Ive also never heard of a Taco Bar there before and neither had any of the 6 or so people working at guest relations that day. I physically had to show them a photo of the sign and then she had to read it off word for word to who ever from culniary she called. You would thing if this ws something they had done even once someone somewhere would have heard of it. They also didnt even know where the sign was and once I explained exactly where it was they removed it.
