Aerial surveillance my ass, this was just an oil and gas giant forcing their money grubbing hands down peoples throats, because they forced the park to remove far more trees than were needed to in the first place.

Yea, not really seeing how the gas companies would make enough money off Busch Gardens alone to force them to do that.

Heck if they wanted to make money off of it, they would let BGW let the trees grow over, destroy the pipe, and charge BGW to not only fix it but improve it. This is more about national security and safety of park goers than anything else.

I was just making an angry rant If it sounded confusing that was just a side effect, my bad.

Though in all seriousness I have worked on clearing pipelines before in order to allow companies to conduct security checks, maintenance and such and the amount of trees removed is far more than is necessary for operations such as that.

Different times of the year, but still...
Not sure why the Aviary needed to suffer when it's not in the pipeline's path. At least a little more care was taken there than 10 bags of mulch.

EDIT: Added entrance

The one spot I seemed to notice it the most is where the train tracks separate New France from animal area by the amphitheater.
Maybe in future they could put a gondola ride along where it was cleared in air, or a bike/walking path beside where the pipeline is located.

Just a small update: some hanging planters have been added to the fence that is blocking the clearing path in San Marco. Not an uncommon thing for the park to do with fences that are blocking things.

Well it's just about May 1st now and the leaves have probably grown in quite a bit at the park.

How does it look?

Also, can I just... I mean just look at my new avatar. It's *adorable*. Omg I LOVE that little thing. Can we just talk about how cute it is? ADORABLE!

*sets down cocktail* Not tonight, friend.

I saw it today (forgot to take a pic) but the two walls of fully leafed trees really stood out to me in San Marco beyond the fence looking at Lochness.

It has changed the view of the park for sure but, it's still better than most of the parks out there. Most would rather just gut all they can and pave it all. BG has one of the best landscaping teams and I'm sure they have something planned for the future.

Is the park allowed to put up buildings and walls to obscure the view?

New buildings may represent an obstruction to sky-based pipeline route observations. Or maybe not. But surely a phalanx of scenery walls would be better than the current view, either with or without landscaping...?

I have said before and I will say it again.  They need to put up a sign and quarter operated big eyes in Italy that says, "Nessie viewing here."

I am really not kidding.

How about a long range water cannon too from the previous viewpoint.  That could surprise some Nessie riders. You'd have to be really good at it though.
