I'm with James. The loss of trees isn't too bad outside of San Marco. I actually sort of like the grassy field that's been created along the Loch Ness Trestle. It looks like a lush rolling hill now.
In most areas, it's only hard getting used to seeing the area without trees, but it doesn't truly look bad.
San Marco, however, looks devastating. I'm not sure how they could ever get that area back to looking anything like it used to. It, sadly, looks dreadful with such an open gap in the middle of the area. The only solution I can think of is to continue the brown fence on both sides and make it taller, preventing side views of the cleared field. Maybe put some more flower baskets along the fence, or let some ivy grow up and down it.
Or, of course, add a Nessie Viewing Center. (NVC)
