RE: Best place to eat in the park.

As recommended by Chirs, I ate at Trapper's Smokehouse, it was very good. But for the first time I also ate at Grogan's Grille. It is a tough race!

RE: Best place to eat in the park.

I like a few for different reasons. My perfect meal would consist of the following: A side salad from Ristorante Della Piazza (I love, love, love their Italian dressing), Brats with spicy mustard & potato salad from Das Festhaus, and waffle fries with barbeque sauce from the Trapper's Smokehouse.... then back to Das Festhaus for a slice of German chocolate cake.....yummy!

:)

RE: Best place to eat in the park.

My vote is for the smokehouse in new france. For dessert my vote would have to go to the Black Forest Cake (aka mile high).

What's your favorite place to eat in the park?

Smokehouse has my vote followed closely by the restaurant in San Marco.

I love the gourmet pizza which is available in the Festhaus and at La Cucina in Italy. The smaller pizza is perfect for some, but I love the gourmet. It is a very satisfying meal!!

RE: Best place to eat in the park.

I think anything in the park really is good, except for the corndogs in Scotland.

RE: Best place to eat in the park.

Just an update, I had the Cornish Hen dinner platter in Ireland during Christmas Town---- and OH MY GOODNESS it was sooo good. It came with a side of mashed potatoes, a roll, and steamed veggies. The surprising aspect was how moist and well seasoned the hen was. (This was during my second trip to CT, the first time I had the Turkey dinner in the Festhaus.)

RE: Best place to eat in the park.

I was not aware that they had a philly cheese steak in BG. I'll surely have to check that out this season.

RE: Best place to eat in the park.

Cheese steak in Festa? Are you sure?

*Runs to get park map*

Well, I'll be! LaCucina does have "grilled steak sandwiches"! I know what I'm having for lunch on Pass Member Preview!

RE: Best place to eat in the park.

I never paid attention to this thread before because I always considered Trapper's Smokehouse brisket platter to be the only worthy food option. I used to loooooooove the bread pudding there, too, but twice last year it let me down and now I can't bring myself to take another chance.

I also like the Pizza at La Cucina (but not at Festhaus).

Can we get a review of the grilled steak sandwich?

RE: Best place to eat in the park.

My thoughts on the grilled steak sandwich: coming right up!

I'll do my best to try it when I'm there tomorrow.

UPDATE: It's up on the meal review thread.

RE: Best place to eat in the park.

I love the smokehouse but the waiting to get the food ugh, but yet i like the restarunt in italy too, ohh and the funnel cakes yummo

RE: Best place to eat in the park.

Funnel cake with ice cream and caramel and whipped topping. Holy cow! Double cardio after BGW:p

RE: Best place to eat in the park.

I love the Fish'n'Chips in England although the Smoke House is DELICIOUS

RE: Best place to eat in the park.

When I was at BG during Christmas Town Germany did not have any German chocolate cake. I thought it was because it was Christmas but when I was there in April and June of this year still no German chocolate cake. Does anyone know if they have it now? I am going again in August and don't want to get too excited in case they have completely stopped making it.

RE: Best place to eat in the park.

Smokehouse hands down!!!!! Although as stated prior that wait can be quite long.

Has anyone tried the buffet near Griffon? I was actually impressed for the price vs quality.
