I actually like the look of it. I'm just confused about why they added that shop when there is already a shop in Sesame Street.

Probably to have a place that kids can get their sesame Street stuff at on the way out. They used to sell a bunch of sesame stuff in emporium last year. This year emporium has a number of things that used to be in that store.

I feel like every time I went there last year this store was closed and package pickup was in Emporium. This was probably a move to improve the appeal and to actually enable it to be open not consistently.

^This. I loved the concept of Union Jax - it was a really well-designed specialty store and it was well-integrated into Banbury Cross. But every time I visited there, it was a ghost town. At least that shop should hopefully get some use now.

Nothing to do with Banbury Cross I just completely read that as Hot Water Music and was like "when did Busch ever play Hot Water Music what" haha classic punk rock band

Now that you mention it, have they always had Water Music cycled in with the British rock music? I remember fairly recently (as in not last season, but a season or 2 before) I do remember hearing Water Music playing entering the park a few times, but it was on rare occasion. I don't recall ever hearing it play any last season, but it was definitely during the London Rocks/Britmania era that I would hear it on a rare, seemingly random occasion.

I thought it was a mix of 60s Brit and classical (which the majority is technically German or Austrian I think but I can't imagine anything else fitting so well) but when I have looked back at any videos that I have taken in Banbury Cross, I can now only assume that they have "Our House" by Madness on loop.

Not to take this super off topic but Madness is or at least used to be HUGE in England. I remember seeing Madness cover bands there. But sadly their only hit here was Our House.

Which is funny because Our House wasn't even Madness' most popular song in England. It was more popular in the US, and also was considered a deviation from their usual sound (but still Ska based).

If they really wanted to be British, they'd play One Step Beyond, Nightboat to Cairo, or Baggy Trousers.

Ska Fact: One Stop Beyond is a cover.

Madness fact: they gained more popularity in the UK when they transitioned from ska to that more vaudeville meets pub music sound. Example: House of Fun went to number 1.

Nice photos but could you have just posted the photos here, and not links to your IG account or should we all be doing it that way?
