Banbury Cross (England)

I wonder if London Rocks will end it's run, as soon as it does; will all of you be happy that Banbury Cross will be "restored" to it's "The Old Country" days or has the damages been done?
Unless you count a facade, a fake bus, and a bunch of flags as "damage" I don't think any damage has been done to the hamlet. The park could easily take all the props down.

When I was there all I heard was the "British Rock" music, wasn't there classical music before in that hamlet?

That is correct. During the production of London Rocks the overall project budget (originally included the hamlet overhaul) was sliced by about 65% leaving just the show budget with a little left over for some outside decorations.
In my opinion the overlay is gaudy. It is also historically inaccurate. "Flower Power" was a anti-Vietnam war phenomenon in the US. The decorations make no sense for London. Where is the British swinging 60s, mod aesthetic?
True... I love anything colorful and bright but hippie tiedye stuff has never been a thing i liked.

I'm just surprised, given who was the driving force behind LR(!), they didn't opt to go all Austin Powers.
The 60s overlay looks like a tween girl's bedroom on steroids.
