Chris Jericho? Really? Wow pick me up an autograph. Wait, who's Chris Jericho? I would love to see Roman Ruin type columns added to the interior of the helix on AC. I think it would add further theme to the (driving) entrance to the park as well as AC as a ride. I love to think of the vertical "Head-chopper" effect it could deliver. Doesn't seem at all likely for them to add theme to this ride, given it's age and that it's the most ridden ride in the park. Just like the idea.

In my opinion they should add themeing in the ravine areas in the beginning and end of the ride its rather boring just seeing a pathetic photo booth for a supposed tunnel.

Kudos to the Daily Press for this article commemorating the day Fabio got FOWLED! Can't believe it happened 17 years ago today!

Happened on March 30, 1999. Dunno why the DP ran it early. I was working Italy when it happened and they bought him through the access road behind the Italy Pavilion and through the backside of the park after it all went down.

Basically after it happened all park employees were told not to talk about it..

Oh, you're right!

I had an invite to go to this media day event but I could not get off work. My friend's mom called me at my office when she saw it on the local news. I checked the TV in our break room when I got the chance and there he was on CNN, face all bloodied. The media went berserk with that story!

Craig Ferguson talked about the incident in his "Does This Need to Be Said" show. Pretty funny. And true! He talks about how astronomical the odds of it were and really... those odds... they are astronomical. The Fabio Incident is indeed proof of God.

I noticed the announcement at the top of the lift as well, and thought it was odd. I also noticed the lack of the Apollo theme music playing on the lift. Good thing the Apollo theme is available on iTunes.

So, I think the park has its hands full with park executive turnover, the Colonial Pipeline clearing, New France renovations, San Marco constructions, Project 2017, and the Le Scoot refurbishment.

Precisely how much do you expect them to do between January and March?  They were already behind schedule in San Marco, because of the weather.

Honestly, no organization, least of all BGW, has limitless resources.  What would major structural project would you like them to sacrifice to freshen the paint?
