For anyone who's interested in owning a copy of The Kingsmill Suite I found a used copy for sale on eBay.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/DONALD-SPECHT-kingsmill-suite-LP-Mint-FER-BG-101-Vinyl-1974-Record-/350909089254?pt=Music_on_Vinyl&hash=item51b3cfc5e6

I think the price is a little high, but hey, it's worth what you're willing to pay for it.

$21 + $4 shipping. Not bad. When you guys said expensive, I was thinking upwards of 50-100 for a MINT LP. I don't know who got it, but it looks like a pretty good deal.

Prices on these things are all over the map. Most of the time people selling them have absolutely no clue what it is they have and vastly under/over-estimate it's value.

Is there any chance on the park making ones of shows now like Celtic Fyre or, shudders, Entwined? :s

I highly doubt they have the proper permissions to sell the music in an album. If they aren't willing to pay for the permission to use it in a show like Dig It Up or Killarney Kommotion, then don't think they are allowed to sell it.

If only they could get the proper rights, I would be willing to buy them.

You're comparing apples to oranges here. The records posted in this thread are original content created by AB/BGW. Comparing them to DIU and KK is kind of silly. This kind of plays into what people have been saying PR, this is classic BGW. When they created their own content and took pride in their shows, instead of just making pop show rip offs.

David I was referring to Hoopla's post asking if they could make albums for today's shows. This is why I typically quote the posts I refer to no matter if they are just above mine, read people read.

I am not saying anything about the past. I am saying purely today it can't be done because none of the music is original and they don't have the rights to do so today. Back then, yes it was able to be done but now no.

Thanks David for posting this, it sounds great, brings back a lot of memories. In cleaning up my parents house after my dead passed away, my son found a Oktoberfest Live! 8-track tape (he had no clue what 8-track is, let alone cassette tapes). Unfortunately, I don't have a 8-track player. We also found a Festhaus cookbook dated 1979. My sister has both at her place in NY.
