Wha-ME?! Seriously what’s the problem with giving Anaconda a retrack? Is everyone seriously trying to gang up on me?
Don't think you're going to find many people that actually enjoy the ride. If KD feels they can get something out of retracking then they will. If not then they won't. Doesn't seem worth it to me, that's my opinion.

Without reprofiling of the worst parts, a retrack doesn't seem worth the bother. It will be smooth but smash your neck anyway.

I actually meant only retracking the worst part that’s all. The rest of the ride still jittery but manageable.

That would make it smoother, but it would still jerk to the side suddenly and bang my neck into the restraint. That's the worst part of the ride for me and why I don't ride it. They'd need to reprofile, not just retrack.

Anaconda could get new track designed by Walter Bolliger, Claude Mabillard, Alan Schilke, and God himself and the ride would still suck. No amount of new track, restraints, or trains will change the coaster’s core issue: a pointlessly meandering layout with abrupt and unnatural changes in direction.

I guess they could redesign the layout to remove those problems too, but at that point, why not build a new coaster instead? That’s why I doubt we’ll ever see any investments into Anaconda besides maybe some new paint and theming. It doesn’t have nearly the popularity, history, or fame that Nessie has — so whenever KD is ready to spend big money on a coaster over Lake Charles, I’m confident it’ll be for a completely new one.

New trains with vest restraints would likely eliminate 90% of the comfort issues.
Comfort issues or not, this ride sucks. I have not enjoyed it ever. Maybe it's because I don't have any sort of nostalgia for it but I can't find any redeeming factor for this ride, especially when i305 is right next door.

It's a janky old-school arrow that eats people up and is relatively cheap to operate. It has some kind of shelf life, so it'll eventually be scrapped whenever that happens.

But unless I'm mistaken they repair the track/structure whenever needed - I believe a few years ago they replaced a few track segments from some other Arrow ride that bit the dust as much of the elements are basically plug-n-play (could be totally wrong about that).
