This remains one of my favorite rides int he park. I am so afraid of lift hills, but I feel more secure in these restraints than any other. So yesterday after being at the park for nearly 7 hours I finally make myself go ride it. Ah, there is a single rider line, perfect. I use that and get on quickly, but just as soon as we get all locked in they tell us to get back in the queue. A seatbelt is broken so the computer won't let the ride dispatch, doesn't sound good. But Ken from maintenance was on stand by. When he showed up everyone cheered. Like being in NYC at a parade and everyone cheers for the sanitation workers or when you go to the movies and they show the city on screen and everyone cheers (there's no one prouder than New Yorkers) this made me feel so much like a community of people. Ken fixed that seat belt we all cheered again and they cycled the ride and we were on our way up that lift hill in 15 minutes. I had two rather poor experiences yesterday. One was a rude guest, not BG fault and one was ride operations at a different ride. I'll write that up too, but overall what a great day. And shout out to the crew and especially Ken in maintenance on Alpengeist.

Pretty sure the seatbelts are not under and censor. Deffiently not why it went down. Unless you mean the harness itself. Ive unbuckled my seatbelt many times going up the lift, never had the ride shut down. Also would not let have guests have control over something that easily that can mess the ride up

There is no sensor for them but it was probably why it went down. The buckle piece of the seatbelts at Alpie and Griffon break fairly often and cause the rides to go down, usually it's a pretty quick and easy fix for maintenance.

Also Ken is the GOAT
