Judging from the photos, that repair had nothing to do with whatever happened to create that bang. This just looks like something being fixed that would've been spotted during a track inspection.
yeah I searched and searched and figured out exactly where the photo was taken. The only objects I could find that appear to match the general shape of the one in question were caps on the fasteners to secure the loose article net to the ride. My best guests at this point os one worked it's way loose and when it hit the pathway made the sound.

I never noticed it was all gone? What buildings exactly
Well I saw it on a social media page. It was on the roof above Alpen Laden and the old ski mart and photo booth. Hopefully it is also on the station, queue house, entry building, and tunnel.

Along with the snow being back the snack stand has gotten a paint job and is being refurbished or changed as the inside is gutted.

Who's to say, but somehow I don't think any major retracking effort is in the cards for quite some time still.

Maybe a few high-stress pieces of track may get replaced over time, but I can't see the park willing to drop basically the cost of a brand new ride on replacing another full track, especially one with lots of tall and complex elements in a relatively difficult to access area.

As I originally wrote about last year, concepts exist internally for a Nessie-style Alpie project.

If it happens, it will be the major, headlining project for its season. 2027 is the Killarney Sim Building so definitely no major Alpie reno next season. The next couple years are already looking more and more spoken for too, but hopefully Alpie finds some space and funding eventually.
